Fast food is no longer fast nor affordable.

Prices tripled and the patties are half the size of the pictures

In high school my goto meal was the 2 cheese burgers combo and with tax it was like $2.03. I always had exact change being a high school kid. They didnt even charge us for sweet and sour sauce packets for my fries back then.

those old prices are from the 90's.

mcChicken was sure a ripoff on the value meal.

Prices are only good if you use the app and even then it's on certain items.

theyve gone up, but atleast in my area they arnt ridiculous. mcchickens are still $2.19 and theres ALWAYS deals either in the app or at individual places (buy one get one for $1 seem to be constant) and $1 large size fries in the app sems to be constantly available. yeah it sucks you need the app, but atleast theres still options out there.

So the company who is buying the ingredients are paying more for employees and more for ingredients and are now going to charge more for what they are selling. It is beginning economics 101.

I downloaded the app for shits and giggles and found the one closest to me doesn't offer dollar fries. The prices start out at $3.79.

I was never big on McDonalds, but I remember always getting coupons for $1 Whoppers at BK. They are now almost $8 without tax.

Regular restaurants aren't so bad in comparison for some reason. I just went to a sit down Mexican restaurant last night. I had 2 chicken and 2 beef taquitos served with guacamole salad and rice/beans on the side. I also had unlimited chips and salsa. My total was $11.99.

I wish I had a picture of my local Taco Bell menu. It's laughably overpriced. The $5 boxes are $8 and the regular combos start around $10.

Whats the difference between pulling up the coupons on your phone with the app, than having to deal with cutting out coupons and carrying them around with you?

Its more convenient now than dealing with paper coupons.

Having to pull your phone out and fiddle with apps is a pain and then they frequently don't work. Jeez just last week I went to the cinema and they couldn't scan my ticket and after 5 minutes of waiting around just waved me through anyway. How is that better than the option of a physical paper ticket I just bring?

I know wasting your life on your phone is the norm for kids these days but it's frustrating that they're being forced to run our lives.

I can sort of see the enviromental argument but that's it.

They have a shrimp burrito they cover in pesto that is absolutely amazing.
