i'm 34 and it's basically the same

Still just a pup

(My 30s have been awesome)

Now imagine you're almost 10 years older...

Hitting 30 does feel a bit weird at first but hopefully youll get used to it quickly. Try to focus not on leaving your 20s behind, but think about what your 30s would be if they play out how youd want. Its a good time to reflect on what you currently enjoy about your life and what youd like to change, improve or achieve. Then continue doing what you enjoy and figure out the first step towards doing some things you think youd find fulfilling. 10 years from today you could look back being nostalgic about your 30s as you leave them behind, and you may find they were better than your 20s. Thank you, I think I mainly just expected that by the time I hit my 30s I'd be farther in my life. Like I thought by this time I'd be married with kids with a real home and an established career but none of that really happened

also my dad died at 43 of health issues so it also feels like I'm about 3/4 of the way through my life

My 30s have sucked, sadly, and they're over halfway done now... ugh.

The thirties aren't that bad. I'm in my forties, it's still not as bad as it's been made out to be.

I'm turning 30 in just a few months

I still get carded every single time

I went through the same thing last year, but quickly realized... not much has changed between 29 and 31

I think for our age group specifically it kind of sucks that COVID ruined the end of our 20s to some extent, but 30s aren't bad, especially in 2023. 30 is the new 20!

I started my new career shortly before turning 29 and am 30 now. On supervisor path, and only recently got into a relationship with a girl that will be the one.

And my sister did all that a little later than I did.

You've got time. You'll get there.

I am 37 and it's been weird.

Recently I was carded. Elsewhere I was asked "Are you young?" by a random cashier. I didn't know how to take that question lol

Happy birthday. I know a bit about how you feel with your father, my dad was first diagnosed at 40 and died at 49. So there's a constant thought of, what future is there to plan for?

But 30 hasn't been that different from 29 for me. It is what you make of it.

All of that has happened for me in my 30s. You can still make it happen.

I turned 30 last year and I felt the same way as you are now. I don't know how to make progress on any of those things, and I feel like I've been left behind and it's too late to catch up now because it seems everyone else I know has done some or all of them.

I do feel a little better knowing that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I was just starting to work on gaining some independence and confidence when Covid hit and I haven't gotten back to that stage yet.

The 30s is just the 20s but with knee pain for me so far tbqh

My 30's have been so much easier and better than my 20's. I had more fun in my 20's, but hopefully that will change someday when I don't have to work anymore, lol.

In this economy??? Ha! (But actually without it being the meme, for real)

I'm 31, so far nothing too crazy has changed. Got a job that's mostly on the path to a career, and have a partner but we're still renting a house (for a decent price, got lucky with knowing the previous renters) and trying to save up money for stuff. All that to say, 30s are by no means the point that everything is figured out lol
