She's the only Eikon in the game who has no power or agency at all throughout the entire story outside of one single chapter that resolves her backstory. She spends most of the game recovering in the infirmary. She's the only one who willingly gives her power to Clive which okay is a predictable angle to take considering his ability. But then she never regains it unlike Dion and Kupka. So she sits out the final battle to take care of the dog. Which is so bloody weird for a game like this.

She's the leading good guy female character too which leaves the writing for women in this game in an odd place in general. Bernadetta goes insane after she loses her Eikon power and her death is used to manipulate Kupka into being a maniac. Annabella betrays Clive's father and then corrupts the Emperor into being a warmonger. These are the other major women characters in comparison.

Ah but there's the side character brothel owner! Who gained the respect of her community by...errr...you know...On its own she's a cool character. But the rest of this universe brings the idea behind this down a bit.

I don't think the game means it. It's clearly focused on Clive being the center of the universe and they do so at the expense of many other characters. But we're sort of left with this weird sort of recurring theme where women shouldn't have power or strength. It reminds me of all of those 90s erotic thrillers that had that theme.
