As for the burritos, well, they're mostly beans and/or rice, which also cost next to nothing. It's nothing exceptionally deceptive, they just figured out how to maximize their profits on easy to fill orders. Taco Bell is where I would go if I was suddenly hungry at work because I work near a Taco Bell.
