yeah, but it's great to see Mihoyo finally figured out what they should be doing.
Since 3.8 or so we've been getting QoL improvements every update, especially 4.3

Let's hope this continues in 4.4 and 4.5, because artifact inventory management is one of the biggest issues in Genshin.

An odd thing I noticed about the current combat event. Usually, I have no trouble getting max rewards without even bothering with the gimmick du jour. For whatever reason, I couldnt crack 6000 on any of the scenarios. Must be getting soft in my old age.

I used Neuvillette on mine (on easiest difficulty, naturally). It was pretty hilarious that I could stand there without swapping and just alternate between E and Q and spam charge nonstop. I'd get like 15k.

The other secretaries at Yuehai Pavilion have been trying to get me to go fishing to take my mind off things. They say that fishing is the best way to overcome fatigue.

Been wanting to do this before I go to Inazuma but this is so, so, so much more tedious than the rest of the game

Its just so dark and brown and ugly and a pain to navigate

Inazuma should have been a slam dunk, but got fucked hard by trying to stick to a strict 3 act structure and its so frustrating because it did a lot of damage to Kokomi's story.

Raiden's story quests do a lot to fix her, but Kokomi's still didn't feel fantastic.

Sumeru and Fontaine have felt so much better since they abandoned the need to wrap things up so quickly.

Chasm Underground is less difficult to explore than usual, because it's usually split into "top" (just the edges and bridges) and bottom (you can glide from top to have a full view of collectibles).
There's also a treasure tracker to unlock IIRC.

Now, Chasm overworld....yeeeah that ones's a real bitch to explore. Probably the toughest place to 100% so far pre-Fontaine for me.
Fontaine meanwhile seems super easy to explore, I'm reaching 90s at pretty much no effort outside of like 2-3 areas (coz I didn't do quests much)

It added a minor challenge to break up the monotony of traversing the areas. Same as Dragonspine and the Withering spots.

IMO unlike Dragonspine, Inazuma's hazards weren't very threatening at all.
Not only can you erase almost all of them through quests, the endless thunderstorm was actually very helpful and fun instead. Sad that it went away.

I very much hope Natlan abuses Blazing Heat everywhere. Make it permanently rain fire and meteors instead!

One of my favorite pics Ive ever taken in this game was of Xinyan doing her guitar riff idle animation while Inazuma lightning was flashing in the background.

On a separate note, as a PSA: the Stellar Reunion is set up differently now. One of the nice upgrades is that, for what its worth, the Billet reward is given for login day 6 instead of being a reward for doing grunt work.

I'd rather have Inazuma or Dragonspine's hostile map and be able to explore everything than deal with another Sumeru where 70% of exploration is locked behind long as all hell sidequests that snake you through an awful map.

Gameplay shouldn't be restricted by quests regardless. No puzzles from quest items, no locked areas. It's a terrible idea.

Let players explore 100% of it from the point they enter the area.

Enkanomiya has the same problem. Its only salvaging factor was how segmented it was. Sumeru was bigger than mondstat, liyue, and the chasm smashed together.

But nothing comes close to my hate for Tsurumi island.

Those look like very viable teams. The Abyss always has one side that's mostly small enemy mobs and one side that's mostly bigger ones and/or bosses, so you can divide accordingly.

That said, the Furina team is viable for overworld stuff too. The key is to have Furina on Pneuma most of the the time. That way when you're fighting weaker mobs that don't need the firepower, instead of draining HP you'll be keeping everyone topped off. If you come across something a little stronger, you can switch to Ousia then switch back at the end.

People get so used to thinking of what is "best" only in terms of Abyss, they don't think of how other strategies may be better in other situations.

Its more that Keqing's skill mixed with Collei's can p much kill instantly when I don't really have a "main" normal attack dps on my other team. Ganyu is the closest but she has a not great bow on her (Sacrificial bow) since I don't have many bows atm (Stringless, Favonius, Rust, Compound)

...I kinda fucked up and accidentally chose Compound instead of the other one

If you dont have an Amos Bow for Ganyu and you mainly use her for charged attacks, the craftable Hamayumi is a decent copium alternative.

I did the last part of the event today and MHY over here once again emotionally annihilating me. First it was that poetry ending and now a sick child commits suicide and we help his mom come to terms with his death. Like, jesus lol.Next event is the return of the shrooms, nothing sad better happen to them.
