For not really complaining about much but being able to swap between planets without actually flying that is a relatively low score. Maybe he just didn't criticize it enough? Either way I just got a new computer so I'll be playing it tonight and I'll give it a judgement

Anyone who has played that game in the past decade could tell you that.

I understand some people have a surplus of spare time but I don't. No way I'm sitting through a dozen+ hours of a game to get to the "good part"... I did that with Death Stranding and I love Death Stranding but the thought of replaying those opening hours in DS makes my boner soft. With that in mind, I can totally see why the game would net a 7 or 8

Like I said, I'll prob get this game if it ever makes it's way to Switch or PS5 but I'm in no rush

I just can't do this. I Joke around about not buying video games anymore but there's multiple reasons why I don't, and the fact that I am severely behind in my television viewing, have two new series to watch (One Piece, Winter King), have a Battle Network tournament I have to prepare for, and I have to put time into Runescape, plus juggling my 12 hour work days, I just don't have the time anymore.

I am legitimately going to spend this weekend rushing through Battle Network 6 while afking in Runescape. 2 games at once.

Same here. I have a 3 year old and I started totk roughly around the time it came out and I'm still barely into the game honestly

I honestly don't mind skipping out on it if it's poo.
I need to finish AC6 and then start up Baldur's Gate 3.

My brother didn't like it either but I loved it. It's kinda niche but it's awesome if you're in that niche

Even without time being especially limited, there are just so many other games that get good so much faster than that that slogging through 12+ hours of not-good to get there is a hard sell. It kind of depends on what they mean by "gets good," though. If it takes that long for any particularly redeeming features to show up? I don't see much point in bothering with that. If you can see the bones of something that will get interesting as it gets fleshed out further, and it just takes a while to lay the necessary groundwork to build into that? That's more justifiable.

As much as it wouldn't surprise me, don't listen to IGN. They're almost always wrong about pretty much everything.

Lmao if I'm not enjoying a game within the first 10 minutes I straight up won't continue it
