The longer the series went on, the more the characters went into being more 'serious' about their predicaments and the show itself turned into a comedy drama. While I still liked the show fine enough when it went for a more serious business type of thing, what initially drew me to the show and made me lmao was the johnny quest parodyness of it all (I was a huge johnny quest fan growing up and pretty much watched all the episodes, spin-off shows and random movies)....some super scientest dude doing weird global shit with his "man" bodyguard that slays everything he sees as a threat with no discrimination and two teenage boys getting up in dumb life-threating side plot crap. Season 1 and 2 is peak johnny quest parody which is why I love'em so much, but I gotta' agree and go with season 1 overall. Like come on brock clenched his asscheeks mad hard in season one just to grab a pirate dude's arm and swung him around just to beat another pirate dude. He also got sucked out into space and managed to get back into the station with the craziest psychotic look on his face.
