The actual answer is the moderation was a mistake. It is allowed for a project runner to block other users from participating in the project they are running.

its wildly inappropriate to go harassing people on Facebook simply for being friends with me, or to tell users that have been through unfortunate events requiring police intervention that the forum would be better off if they had self deleted. No one would tolerate me doing any of that garbage (nor should they), and no one should tolerate Steiner doing it either. I dont think I deserve to be in the B8 discord, but Steiner should not have admin privileges on there if hes doing things this horrible in 2023. No idea what this is but I would not find it implausible that buried within Steiner is a early-mid 2000s era Ulti that hasn't pissed off the wrong people yet and if this isn't just Ulti spouting off nonsense deserves more attention.

I will say that Ulti is misinformed about that steiner situation, although it's not my situation to really go into depth about.

I'm just saying Ulti's story sounds plausible to me given what I've seen from Steiner

Steiner feeling the need to make this topic at all makes me think he might be in a bit of an unhealthy space with respect to b8 involvement to be honest.

Definitely if he's going off board to harass people that's pretty deranged in any case and shouldn't be "you don't know the whole story" situation-- it's just not acceptable. If you're saying Ulti outright made that up that's one thing but your response doesn't sound like that.

He's also got txt files of such misinformation for most everyone reading this right now, ready to pull out when it feels advantageous. Well, the old ulti of 4 minutes ago did so. I heard he's a totally changed man now.

If any of these things happened there would surely be evidence you could point to

Wasn't the moderation just a NKL that simply locked the topic? And then Steiner decided to be overly dramatic and close his account. If Steiner's allowed to reopen his account then this doesn't matter at all.

For clarification is the 'take the fight to Facebook' stuff that was done in the distant past (allegedly)? Or stuff that was done recently as a result of the current drama?

NKLs are the worst because mods know it's not a violation but still want to exert control. In this case they tried to control how board projects are run, which is way beyond their purpose.

Man I remember when SMC was just a fun stupid little thing we did to see who arbitrarily came out the other side and for the past 13 years it's been inching closer and closer to this. Hence why I barely bother to participate anymore unless it's a silly free-for-all like the bot-run ones.

Less than 30 minutes after he made this topic, he sent me a text over FB Messenger that simply read "eat shit" and I couldn't reply to it. I deleted his chat from my messenger, but still, that's a coward move on his behalf

But sure let's just say Ulti is the only one with problems around here because it makes us feel better about ourselves.

Taking board drama off the board has always been messed up.

(obviously counting direct extensions of the board, ie the Discord, as "the board")

Steiner has talked to XIII about it (the charon situation, none of what I've been alluding to has been about the ZeroSig stuff) but the main thing is that steiner didn't tell charon to "self-delete" or whatever, he wasn't trying to say charon should off himself but in the heat of the moment it was reported as that way. Of course you can say "oh likely story" to that and can't really stop that but that is what it is.

The fact that he needed to chase Charon into smfffc to harass him on a discord thing is still extremely sad and the fact that you're trying to defend the behavior that could be remotely construed as telling a dude to off himself is sad too.

I mean we already don't think very highly of each other Lopen so sure, you can think that too. I'm just trying to clear a bit of the air of Ulti going around saying someone told another person to "self-delete", which is inaccurate. If Ulti wants to use this to push himself up as a "better and changed" person once again, because already he's using it to butter himself up while taking steiner to task, that's on everyone else and how they want to handle that. Do I agree with everything steiner has done in all of our history on board 8? No, just like he hasn't agreed on various things I've said and done.

I don't think of you. I just think you're very bad at separating actions from actor. Hence why you took para's side when she was spreading lies about me for no reason and why you're taking Steiner's side now when he's basically doing all the bad things Ulti has done on a smaller scale.

At some point you need to mature and realize that sometimes your friends do shitty things and sometimes people you don't like are not unilaterally terrible people and be at peace with it.

I just think it's hilarious lopen early on was preaching about how awesome he was because he doesn't use the block function and how "if I was at peace I could just ignore ulti and move on" and how it's sad that people on here "need to grab a victory over other users" but he just can't let this one go can he? Cause it sure sounds to me like you really REALLY need this victory over steiner and bane. It's okay to admit it, I readily admit I love pointing out inconsistencies in people who think they're better than everyone else just like you think you're doing. But you lost this moral highground you think you have the moment you called me petty for using a feature for how it's intended to be used. You tried to claim a victory over me in the same post you decried such users.
