Renowned British actor and writer Stephen Fry has arrived in Ukraine. He will host the third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

The organisers of the summit report that the event will be held on 6 September in Kyiv.

"...a man whose brain is recognized as the cultural heritage of Great Britain. He has consistently supported Ukraine in its fight for existence and independence, as evidenced in his interviews with guests. In addition, he helped Ukrainians endure the winter with the ShelterBox initiative, which collected donations for warm clothing and repair of damaged homes."

Fry also supports organisations working with military personnel, people with hearing and/or vision loss, people with bipolar disorder, leukaemia and lymphoma, as well as the LGBT community.

The writer is constantly working to raise awareness about these areas and encourages people to join the charity initiatives. Fry himself notes that the President's Office invited him to a mental health event in Kyiv.

In one of his posts, the actor said that he was honoured to receive an invitation, and holding such a summit indicates the openness and "common sense" of the Ukrainian government.

"Not a propaganda stunt at all, but a real bringing together of neurologists, social scientists, psychology and those working in mental health trauma."

The summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen was first held on 23 August 2021 at the initiative of Olena Zelenska. The second summit was held in Kyiv in July 2022. The first ladies of Latvia and Lithuania, Andra Levite and Diana Nausdien, had arrived in the capital of Ukraine, while the British journalist Piers Morgan became a moderator. Participants of this summit raised US$3.2 million for resuscitation vehicles.

The third summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv in 2023 is devoted to mental health. In addition, it will host a major international conference of health ministers.

It was out of spite in King's case.

Anyway, turns out that is Stephen Fry's Instagram.

He quit Twitter when Musk took over.

Stephen King was extremely critical on twitter of the badge of shame. Insisted he would never pay for one.

When it was pointed out that his checkmark remained, Musk then claimed to have 'personally paid' for King's. A spiteful act aimed at undermining King's stance and making him the recipient of Musk's charity.

1. Ukraine's first lady helped organize it.

2. If you don't think that mental health is important in a time of war like this, then I dunno what to tell you.

3. He's done a lot of other charity stuff for Ukraine, this is just another of his outreach initiatives.

I know him from QI, appearances on some other British panel shows, and a few videos of speeches/debates. Stephen Fry is a gem and this is cool to see.

I know Stephen Fry from LittleBIGPlanet actually. I watched V for Vendetta but I dont remember that much from it.
