I buy mostly fresh fruits and vegetables along with meat and I can do quite a bit better than he did. But I also live in the Midwest in a farm state where our prices are much more affordable. Don't buy organic and only by berries when they are in season. I bought the same large container of strawberries the other day at Aldi for $1.30. Blueberries are not in season right now.
