Primrose is going for... something, I guess, but it doesn't quite accomplish it. Feels like it's mixing together too many styles. Transient Silence feels like it goes on forever. I kinda feel like shorter tracks just suit Mega Man better, considering how much of a flop a lot of the long stuff is. Crystal Snail isn't one of my favs from X2, but it has this rhythm to it that makes it feel unpredictable in a good way. Always feel like I hear something new when I listen to it. Has a very high shot at winning this entire contest, it's catchy and can carry you through a entire level. I just like it, dude. About Primrose, uh it's fine. There's nothing I find particularly remarkable about it, the instruments are original I guess. I'll just stick with UFO Bro. Woohoo, band arrange! Very customary of SNES arrange albums. I enjoy the melody, it's very heroic. Solid overall, I can get behind it, good stuff. Woah, this time signature intro! I like the transitions from crystal pad to rock section to crystal pad again. But ultimately I just don't think the payoff to all the buildup of the latter is enough to make it a great piece of music. Easily one of the best if the classic themes to me, especially that one part towards the end of the loop. Primrose has a promising beginning but doesn't quite live up to it in my opinion. Still not bad though. I like the saxophone. It's pretty feel good. Smooth as fuck. Really does feel like an ending theme even as a rearrangement. I like how the main melody/build up in the beginning of Crystal Snail sounds "crystal-y". Pretty cool. I actually like this better than the opponent, but Epilogue is still nice.
