Tankies worship authoritarian regimes. And the only real defining factor is anti-West. Because you can't possibly argue Russia or Iran are even pretending to be communist but they are still worshipped by tankies.

That is an ideology made up after the fact to justify authoritarianism. Read Animal Farm. They have no interest in establishing a communist society. It's just window dressing for their authoritarianism and as Russia demonstrates so well, you don't even need the window dressing.

I'm not pretending I don't know Animal Farm, what I'm saying is that it's an introductory text. For babies. Animal Farm is what you assign to 14-year-olds.
