Peaf this post sucks. Firstly, the hypocrisy of voting for me and pushing for sbell to vote me the minute I get a vote but complaining Im opportunistic.

I was considering voting for you earlier but was staying on sbell. Then he presented me with a pretty good opportunity to see what he would do if I went a little off the wall. So i took the opportunity. Imo it was pretty different than how you rode me to grind sbell's gears yesterday.

I made two reads that I felt potentially warranted votes and stuck to them all day. Id be curious what you think is not great about my vote on abacus and I was one of the first to justify voting abacus too. Those things aside, having words put in my mouth is far more annoying than the thought of getting mislynched would be.

You gave reasons, congratulations. I still think the Abacus train was bad and the way you gave those reasons felt forced to me.

The time (times?) said I had a fake concern it was totally embellishing my comments. what comes to mind for me is when I said I doubted wed get to the usual level of activity, you painted it as concern when I have not been worried about the situation whatsoever.

I'm not pulling the post up right now but you definitely seemed like you were afraid of the sky falling if we didn't pressure inactives at that point in time.

I dont think this lines up with your scum game from what I remember, so I am neutral on you, but its difficult to see how you got to this point in a sincere way.

Fd and Chang both tried to breadcrumb neighbors earlier topic 1. I refused to do so for fear if I did they would just shoot me then and if one died as scum let the other as scum sail off to the dub. So I fully outted for the glory of town.

You never understood what I was getting at and that isn't my fault.

I know I'm town, I can't say the same about you or chang. I know that if I get killed people will be inclined to suspect my neighbors if only for the fact that we're neighbors and not masons. And I know that if I have a scum neighbor they might not want to be scrutinized after my flip. So, as town, it makes sense for me to want town to be able to locate that information after I'm gone. Because in a scenario where you're both scum you could just say nothing, or in a scenario where only 1 of you is scum it could be a situation where both of of the town neighbors die somehow and the remaining scum neighbor says nothing.

Your unwillingness to want to do the same bothered me because a town neighbor corrik should want his neighbors to be known for the same logic. You seemed content to just sit on it, even though you insisted that chang and I might both be scum. And he might be, but I'm not, so there is no situation where you are town corrik with two scum neighbors. It was just so illogical to me since it doesn't hurt town in any way and has the potential to hurt scum. Low upside, but no risk.

But enough about that, I wasn't crazy about how death handled his interrogation, but I'd still rather go after an inactive person today and set the tone that being fully inactive will not be permitted.

Small update - First off sorry I have not, and will continue to not really be here. Got some personal news Wednesday night that has had me away completely unrelated to the game. I would not be here as town or scum.

I will be here next in game day - as long as I am still alive.

Secondly, I see from the votals above that I have a lot of votes on me. I am town, and if need be I am happy to claim so as to not waste a death. However; I really would rather not so that scum doesn't get more information than they need to have.

Thirdly, Death I appreciated the ping, and do not think they are rude at all.

You and i are at total opposite ends here, fd. I wanted this to be a chill game where people play at the pace that makes sense for them. If town loses as a result so be it. This is for fun and i don't want abacus or anyone else to get stressed over missing hundreds of posts because Life Happened to them.

I would feel worse about IGCD and Lea, but not enough to call them scum for it since I cant say Abacus does not entirely deserve the lynch either.

Peaf, you have my full attention. I am open minded. What is bad about the abacus train? I dont have a problem with anyone giving the benefit of the doubt but I dont understand having a problem with those of us who find it suspicious. He made one post claiming to have randomly picked someone to vote, left said vote and went see ya tomorrow without giving any context for his decision to essentially not participate in d1. The whole thing is weird, and since abacus is currently slated for lynching, its not like Ive got a minority opinion here.

take mzero - his absence, while not shocking given past play, is still bad. But abacus went so far in his first post as to acknowledge having zero intention of showing back up. I dont care what anyone thinks, thats a fine vote on a day with such little information to work with.

There's a difference between 'at your own pace' and 'not playing at all'.

That's where my mind is at. How am I supposed to make any read on Abacus at all? This most recent post about having something come up irl is the only thing. But before that he had a post about rolling a physical dice and then became a ghost. I'm not saying saying there should be a specific post minimum, but if there was one it sure as hell should be higher than 1-2.

I assume the irl issue is legit, I don't think anyone would fake that regardless of alignment. But seeing as it's regardless of alignment we've still got someone who is just as likely to be scum as anyone else and whose posts I can count on just my left hand.

That's why I'd rather just have the claim out immediately so we have a few hours to recalibrate.

Tbh i don't remember how many games abacus has been in over the last year, only one sticks out to me.

Given that we're T-4 now and a number of our colleagues need to get going soon, I think claiming would be better than not claiming. Sure.

It's lazy and weak but sometimes the lazy and weak plays can still be fine. Like how lynching the LeaPuppet on D1 would have been lame as hell, it was still probably the correct move all along.

Agree to disagree I guess, I dont see anything wrong with it. I thought it seemed out of character for abacus to show up, cast a supposedly random vote and say see you tomorrow I am not coming back. With the added context hes never rolled scum and was dreading doing so, it seemed quite fishy to me.
