Being 5'7 155 lbs with a small head and slim frame makes me look like a teenager at a glance. Only get attention from teenage girls and older 40+ women.

Preaching to the choir. I'm 37 and it was the exact same way in my late 20s/early 30s, though I'm quite a bit heavier than you, at 280 lbs. It got so bad when I was working retail that I had to literally tell my 16 year old co-workers that them flirting with me isn't going to end well for either of us. I even felt like a creep when 18 year old co-workers flirted with me, because of the age gap.

Keep in mind, I'm an introverted extrovert. So while I'm not the best looking guy in the room, I can strike up a conversation with anyone, but when I head home, I'm home alone and I like to keep it that way. I need a place to recharge.

I looked so young when I was in my mid 20s I got id'd for a PG movie.

Hah I remember that. The female looked like an adult mom to the two boys in the picture to me. One male looked young but still looked like a college aged adult but Im convinced that one male was honestly a kid.

I think I look right about my age now. About 10 years ago I think I looked a bit older for a 23 year old, mostly because I was big into retro fashion at the time, or so I was told.

I've looked young for my age for most of my life. I hated it as a teenager and into my twenties, but I've grown to appreciate it more as I get older. A much younger ex-coworker, upon learning my age, compared me to the phrase "black don't crack", which was a bit of an ego boost (I'm white, btw).

Oh, and don't sleep on 40+ women, my dude. That aging hunger makes for some fun times.

It basically means in a public environment I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone, but I can't be around them for too long, otherwise I start to feel uncomfortable. At which point I need to get away from the conversation to calm myself down and relax.

I wish I had the same problems as people here. I've always looked way older than I am, to the point in my late 20s some people assumed I was in my 40s.

My skin is also far worse and more aged than many men I see similar age or older than me. With both heavy worry lines and hard to hide forehead wrinkles.

Meanwhile I've got friends who are actually in their 40s, approaching 50, and even family members in their 60s, who look like they have younger skin than me lol.

I knew a guy in high school who at 16 had a full beard and was 6'4. A guy I went to college with was 17, 350 lbs full beard/balding, and was 6'8. You just got to learn how to work with what you got. Do some research on skin care, it'll do you wonders.

Cool, so they have the height advantage, which is something that often makes up for and supersedes other shortcomings. I am unfortunately average height, brown hair, and brown eyes lol.

Not really anything to work with on the physical side other than my history of being a gym rat allows me to resculpt my body rather quickly and I can get a nice figure, but once again that's just 1 physical feature out of many.

And before anyone starts trolling me (not an accusation against you, personally), no I'm not trying to do a "woe is me" post here, just saying, some people have a lot working against them and not much working for them physically.

Fortunately for me, mom's side of the family tends to age well. With many relatives in her side looking quite a bit younger than they are. Lucky for me, I inherited that trait.

Though, now at 40 I'm starting to look older(duh), in my early to mid 30's people were still occasionally guessing late teens, and early 20's. While I still don't look 40, it surprises people that I'm quite a bit older than they assume.

I'm trying really hard not to fixate on this part. Trying to not be envious of people flirting with you... and it's not working.

And? the point is that you make your body work for you. Everyone is different. Find out what your strengths and weaknesses are and work with them. If your balding, wear a closer trim haircut, shave your head or get a hair transplant. Have bad skin? do the necessary research and find ways to make it look a bit more fresh and less grating.

This isn't a knock against you, but everyone is built differently, we aren't cut from the same glass.

You take me for example. Physically I could stand to lose a few lbs but I was blessed with a bulky bone structure. My insecurities are my mental health which has plagued me for years before finding out ways to get around that, and my internal health, which over the past few years has undergone tremendous difficulties, including 2 stints of Cancer. Christ, I wasn't mentally healthy until just 2 years ago, when I took a sleep study and realized I had a case of extreme sleep apnea which was causing almost all my mental health issues. So coupled with a cpap machine and ADD meds, I'm better than ever. I still don't get a full 7 hours of sleep but its better than the 1/2 hour of sleep I was getting every night.

But that shit took time. It wasn't an overnight thing. I struggle with certain daily activities which I'm forced to take in shifts to get complete. But that's what works for me. I set schedules to get things done if I can't get it done immediately. I ask for help if I need it.
