If I've heard Godsmack before, I've forgotten every note. Disturbed has actually left a sound bite in my brain of the corniest, studio manufactured, artistically devoid obnoxiousness.

Both are pretty equally terrible but Disturbed has somehow remained way more relevant which means Im way more likely to be subjected to one of their songs, so I voted for them.

Godsmack's early stuff is great. Their newer stiff sucks ass. While Disturbed's music sounds all the same, no matter what album.

Finger Eleven also did Kane's WWE theme song as well.

Godsmack is terrible. Disturbed have been putting out the same song for the past 20 years but at least they kinda have an iconic sound and honestly they put on a really good live show.

Finger Eleven's self titled album is legit great, though.

I think Disturbed are fucking great, so I guess Godsmack are technically "worse" but I still consider them pretty decent too.

Oooh wa aah ah ah is fantastic. You never hear someone burp weird and just say, "Oooh wa aah ah ah!"?
Even in their "one hit" parody, you can hear the individual songs they're referencing. It's just their general grundgy sound that stays static. They're great as both a low parody of and example of their genre. Like you can't deconstruct Disturbed because they're already at the most basic level of their craft.

Disturbed is pretty good, but all of their songs sound exactly the same.

That's the whole "post grunge" era... a band was a brand and every song sounded the same.

I'm probably in the minority when I say that I'm a Disturbed fan but I really, really, really don't like Down With The Sickness. I think that song in particular is absolutely awful, I think their first two albums as a whole are just "meh" overall, and it wasn't until Ten Thousand Fists when they started really hitting their stride and I became a fan of them. But since then, I think they've been great.

That is absolutely wrong. It Godsmack is only known for one song it would be "I Stand Alone". While Disturbed has man big songs but the biggest would probably be their cover of "Sound of Silence" a few years back

Whereas Disturbed has one of my favorite songs to play in Guitar Hero 3, Stricken.

I'll chime in late, but Disturbed is probably more annoying but I felt like I still got them more. Plus back in the day; I'd search for Bad Religion and Godsmack had a song, called that and I was like I know already can I just listen to you are the government.

Disturbed isnt great, but Godsmack is truly awful.

I almost mixed Godsmack up with Alice in Chains *shivers* Godsmack did voodoo but that isn't anything special. I'll take Disturbed's hocking and grunting over 'em.

Never heard of Godsmack, but Disturbed makes my butt rock (as does that certain group synonymous with Sonic Adventure), so as far as I'm koncerned, that's what the term really means.

Poll titles are the least likely thing to be read, because in most gamefaqs polls the title doesnt matter.

You dont establish the rules for this tournament in the initial post, nor do you have anything resembling a bracket due to this being created before the details were worked out.

Based on the responses, youd expect Godsmack to get like 90% of the vote. Since it is so close, that strongly indicates that there is a misunderstanding being made by the voters.

Hard to choose, both equally terrible.

I only know one Godsmack song, but I like it way more than any Disturbed song. Fwiw, if Godsmack is discount Alice In Chains, I have a bias towards them since I like Alice in Chains.
I actually dont mind Disturbed, but I hate the cover of Sound of Silence. They cover removes the chilling ethereal feel I get from the original and just sounds like a buttrock ballad.
