If it's real, the level of entitlement really pisses me off. First of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with going to the Cheesecake Factory on a first date. He made a reservation at a nicer restaurant, but she made him wait for AN HOUR after the agreed upon meeting time, so they missed their reservation. She goes on and on with such a condescending tone about how she's so beautiful (she's not) and how she needs to be courted. Despite all of this, he is still willing to take her to a perfectly acceptable restaurant and pay for the whole date, but she acts like a toddler. She literally refuses to get out of the car and starts filming. I can only hope this was staged.

I don't think it's really necessary to think or feel you shouldn't take a first date to a chain restaurant in the first place.

Like if you want to splurge on a first date that's up to you, but people shouldn't be feeling they shouldn't go to a chain restaurant, or dates having expectations to be going to something they deem to be fancy.

While I agree that chain restaurants arent good for dates (not that I go on dates), her attitude about it is petty.
From the screenshot she looked pretty average, not necessarily dressed for something high-end (not saying she was dressed trashy, just unimpressive). Then, the guy was finna take her to a nicer restaurant but she was very late and ruined that plan. The dude is better off without her. Even if she just happens to hate Cheesecake Factory, she could have been more respectful about not going there.

Also, flip the genders, or use any combination of genders (or lack of gender), and Id still feel the same.

No one should be jumping into a first date with expectations that someone should be spending a lot of money on you, or even some threshold amount on you.

If you want to do that, that is certainly up to you. However, people shouldn't be feeling they shouldn't go to a chain restaurant, or dates having expectations to be going to something they deem to be "enough effort" which tends to be attached to someones wallet. On a first date no less.

Just giving advice. Taking a date to a good local restaurant will typically go over better than a chain restaurant. And it might very well be cheaper.
