Lies of P has sold one million copies since going on sale last month, publisher Neowiz has said.

Round8 Studios well-received soulslike launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and Mac via the Mac App Store on September 18. It reimagines the classic fairy tale of Pinocchio in the Bloodborne style.

IGNs Lies of P review returned an 8/10. We said: Lies of P might not branch out particularly far from its soulslike inspiration, but it plays the part extremely well. Lies of P has a very positive user review rating on Steam too.

"This incredible milestone for Lies of P proves the potential of Korean console games on the global stage, said Seungchul Kim, co-CEO of Neowiz. The Lies of P project was a challenging endeavor for Neowiz and Round8 Studio and we take great pride in what we achieved with this title.

Given the success of Lies of P, thoughts turn to the possibility of DLC and a sequel. Earlier this month, IGN reported on a job listing for a quest planner role for a Lies of P DLC, with one of the bullet points on the listing directly stating that the DLC is in development. At the time, Neowiz told IGN it did not have an official statement regarding upcoming DLC for Lies of P, however, the studio said it "will be providing a roadmap of the contents planned for Lies of P as soon as it is ready.

I love it when new IPs like this become a success. Im currently playing and enjoying the hell out of the game.

I didn't enjoy the demo so it's objectively a bad game, though.

Can't wait for Lies of Oz, Lies of Christopher Robin etc.

In all seriousness they can keep doing this concept over and over. It's a pretty neat success they have found.

Pretty great game, best Souls clone along with Nioh 2 imo. Nice to see Korean devs putting out a great game that can hang with the big boys that isn't an mmo or a phone game.

1 million without gamepass players, where it was day 1 on. Im having a fantastic time with it, its definitely hitting that souls itch. It kind of reminds me of a Demon Souls/Bloodbourne hybrid with its own twists.

Isn't this the developer's first game? That's pretty fucking awesome

I'm loving it so far, but I also only just got the P-Organ.

Linearity isn't a problem for me. I come to these games for the boss fights and so far they're all fun.

I hope we get a sequel because that after credit scene hooked me already.

I love the game but its nowhere near as hard as people make it out to be. Maybe because Im used to Soulsbourne now the timing came naturally.

I have yet to see a boss or enemy that took more than three tries yet and Im in chapter four.

Game is great but its much easier to cheese in this than in other Soulslike games.

Apparently they nerfed some of the harder bosses. I'm not sure which ones though.
