I distinctly remember not being able to sleep after this because i was scared and looking at the clock and it was almost 3 am

Anyone else have any movies that scared you when you were little, that seem silly now?

Every Easter the Wizard of Oz was shown on TV back in the day. We'd watch it at my grandma's house before dinner (or maybe after idk).

When Miss Gulch turned into the witch in the tornado scene I'd cover my eyes because it was terrifying to me. One year my dad forced me to watch it while everyone laughed as I screamed and started crying. They all thought it was funny I was afraid of the witch, but to me it was real.

The rat transformations freaked me out hard.

I was super scared by Dante's Peak as a kid.

I don't even live in a volcano area.

I had a tape of the 80's Alice in Wonderland miniseries and I was TERRIFIED of the scenes with the jabberwocky. It's the goofiest looking costume to see as an adult, but I was so scared of it as a kid.

And I don't even think this one's silly because it still bothers me as an adult, but you can imagine my terror seeing the transporter malfunction in Star Trek: TMP as a child. I had no idea such things could happen in Star Trek! Before I saw this, transporter malfunctions were usually odd or even funny things, like when the characters got turned into little kids.

Unless your bedroom was on Ceti Alpha V, I'm pretty sure you were safe from them.

The Gate scared the hell out of me as a kid, weird movie with little mini chuds that came out of the ground.

I found it more depressing than scary.

I would see earwigs and think it was a baby version of one of those, and I'm sure the name didn't help, lol.

You know how as a kid (or hell maybe even now) you wake up in the middle of the night to have to use the restroom and you have to walk in the dark of your house and it's kind of unsettling?

Well I remember distinctly the kid does just that. And when he goes to wash his hand after, he goes up to look at the mirror and there's a fucking demon zombie thing next to him. Made me jump like a motherfucker and turn off the movie lol

i even enjoyed the lame scary stories. but the crypt keeper himself always just fucking scared me as a kid. i'm ok with it now but sometimes i still get small flashbacks lol

As a kid, I was a complete pussy when it came to scary stuff.

The commercials about that one Disney Channel movie with the mummy dad scared me.

I remember being freaked out as a kid by the movie Runaway, with Tom Selleck and the little spider robots. Seeing the robots inject people with acid was creepy.
