Current Events > Borderlands 2 playthrough time. Playing as Maya. Spoilers throughout

I just got past Captain Flynt and now have to go rescue some corporal guy for Sanctuary.

Currently running a Maliwan pistol to set things on fire, and a Jakobs assault rifle that somehow shoots explosive bullets and takes 18,000 years to reload.

at some point i want to find some decent smgs.

got 3 points into the gun damage perk in the left tree.

one of my favorite games of all time. hope you like it.

i've never actually beaten it. i've gotten to the point where roland gets got several times, but i either burned out or my friends stopped playing with me.

here's hoping i can actually finish it this time.

i might restart and play as Krieg. never played him before. i've dabbled in pretty much everyone else at some point.

if i don't plan on going into TVHM or UVHM how much does farming gear matter?

i really just want to beat the story and the dlc stories.

Honestly not a whole lot. Late game/end of DLC bosses might pose some trouble depending on your luck with weapon drops, but you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

i have either the best luck in the world or no luck at all. there is no in between

i can't be assed to play anything today. i'm just going back to bed.

i don't remember enough of any of them to say which one i do or don't like.

i don't think i vibe particularly well with these games unless i'm with friends.

Im playing 3 right now and im enjoying it. Despite mozes mech being op af. Still fun to use.

i haven't played 3 yet. i was trying to beat all the other ones before i got to it.

Borderlands 2 is one of favorite games of all time and Maya was my favorite character lol hope you have fun man.

I really liked 3 as well and in terms of gameplay it's probably better than 2 imo but 2 had a special kind of magic to it that 3 wasn't really able to capture

i really wish the game would drop something other than repeaters and shotguns

Having to always slag things in UVHM was annoying for sure. But finding a slag Magic Missle (a grenade that flies around and splashes everything) from Tiny Tina's DLC made slagging enemies sooo easy. And I did abuse The Bee towards the end. >_> For most of it, felt like I didn't even need to slag because it was so good.

I am playing # 3 right now myself, I played through 2 a few times on PC, and once on VR , never played TVHM + those , I am hoping to do that with Borderlands 3, I feel the postgame is much better with Borderlands 3 and legendaries are much funner in this game and drop way more often compared to 2.

Think Borderlands 2 - Diablo 2, and Borderlands 3 - Diablo 3, (just regarding drop rates.,)

Borderlands 3 is just as if not better than Borderlands 2, gameplay wise.

Either way, both are epic games and worth playing through... And because of how they took different approaches, you can play BL3 after BL2 , and see how they changed alot of the mechanics , etc.

i never really played Diablo 2, so i don't really get that comparison.

I spent over 40 days playing it total almost all as Maya.

when i played with my friends, my one friend always hardlocked Maya and the other one always hardlocked Zero. and they had a rule where we weren't allowed to double up on classes.

so most of my playtime is on Axton

And if you didnt get the last dlc for free its $15 and never goes on sale....

That annoys me to no end.

it was the same with BL1. guy one was Lilith and guy two was Mordecai, so i played Roland.

now that i'm doing solo playthroughs i'm playing as the Sirens because there's no one cockblocking me from them

EDIT: i also had horrendous luck in weapon drops when playing with them so i was running around with shit weapons from vending machines because they kept hoovering up all the drops

I mean i am quite butthurt over the dlc not going on sale. Ill probably pick it up again when it and if it ever goes on sale.

Slagging things is annoying but once you find something that does it fast an easy such as some action skills with it on them or maybe magic missile grenade then its not so bad.

But its up to you if you want to go The Bee route. Glass cannon essentially....

EDIT: i dunno how much i'm gonna care about good gear or anything unless the game grabs me enough to try TVHM and UVHM

In solo the mind one can be fun just cause it distracts while you mow things down with the bee.

Id get slag first for sure but late levels you can have mindlock too.

Its not as good in a group but solo it shines.

i dunno if i'll have enough points at the end of the playthrough to get two capstones, is my thought.

Getting climbing through the dungeon that gives you the over power levels was the hardest gaming experience of my life. I only managed to get to level 7.

yeah i don't think i have the patience or skill to get that far

i managed to get the Flame of the Firehawk shield from Lilith's quests.

now whether it will actually be useful or not...

Cloud Kill pretty much solos all of normal(or at least the half you can have it for once you hit level 16) and TVHM, to the point that you're almost better off not getting it since it's so grossly OP.

my main quest is to infiltrate a bloodshot stronghold to rescue roland. i am dicking around doing sidequests and trying to find Savage Lee for the Unkempt Harold

so not that far

yeah i farmed Savage Lee for 1 1/2 hours and didn't get a single drop.

whatever, i don't even like the Unkempt Harold. i'm sure it'll be stupid busted later but for now it feels weird and doesn't synergize with anything i have

that one quest in the dust that's just a massive shit on Top Gun is great
