There was a user on here who only got warned after making a presupposition that trans people are rapists if they dont out themselves before sleeping with someone, and essentially doubled down on it by saying (paraphrase) sorry, if its not rape, what should it be called then? Played right into the deception stereotype and the gay/trans panic defense, while other users melted down into nonstop shit posting because the person is cool or otherwise agreed with their transphobic beliefs. You cant call us transphobic because we are allies!!! Fucking disgraceful.

Who could have seen this happening? A person comes, spams nearly a hundred posts (a good dozen being flagrant ToS violations), and then gets Warned instead of anything else.

As a gynesexual guy, I gotta say that I found the queer representation on FFXIV to be really fuckin' huge. Did not expect that going in, but I love it.

My point (or question, rather) is that I don't think this is proper "news", it's just of interest to an insular community who cares about this particular piece of media that this person is relevant to.

I'm not lying about anything, and I'm not sure what needs to be explained to me when I was involved in the conversation itself the whole time. It's quite telling you've nothing to say other than vague accusations of lying about it though. Care to elaborate?

I wasn't even naming names because I'm content to let sleeping dogs lie, as it were. It was a very contentious discussion with various interpretations behind meaning and intent, with a lot of people wanting to sling mud based on overly generous interpretations and completely ignore ramifications of perpetuating harmful beliefs, or acknowledge the importance of letting minorities speak for themselves on a matter that directly affects us.

There was a topic and the discussion became about not disclosing if you are trans. He asked if it was rape by deception and was explained that it was offensive to even suggest that. He said he didn't know why because he was just asking questions and really didn't get it. It was explained further to him how the idea that it was reasonable question to start with was rooted in right-wing bigotry, but he was thinking about anyone in any situation and didn't realize the implications that it would seem he's starting with the bases of trans people being deceptive and then rapist. He got it and apologized. It was good enough for Medussa and the rest in the topic, but not for CSCA33.

She kept on him repeatedly, and in any topic that came up about him, she would spout this same stuff, despite him literally saying otherwise. He did not double down on it like she said he did. It was a conversation, and it ended with him coming to an understanding with everyone except for her.

As it was explained to them that topic, if the other person has hangups that's on them to deal with.
