You using anything to warm your home yet?
There's too many responses from central heating, to fire places, to no, to not yet, etc. for a decent poll to this.

I'm close to turning on my heater. a few more degrees and I'm gonna bite and use it.

Yep; its heater season where I live. Average lows are about 30, average highs in the low 50s.

Yes for the last couple of days. It was about 35 F out this morning

Yeah, since yesterday. We had ~5 cm of snow and it's been hovering between 0 and 5, which is heater territory.

It was supposed to be in the 60s this week. Today is 77.

I turned my furnace on back in late September. We've already had -20 this season one morning. We're in for a very cold winter.

Im hoping it warms up a little before it gets too cold

had to get a new one, but yeah it's been freezing weather off and on for the past couple weeks and we had snow earlier today. i do not like it.

I live in Florida. AC runs year-round.

I keep my thermostats turned all the way down (which puts them at like 5-10C) until it actually gets cold enough to need the furnace. If a comfortable room temperature experience can be attained with a blanket instead of actually heating the room up, why waste oil?

On some days I use it to either warm my bathroom around the time I take my shower, or my bedroom just enough before I take off my robe and slip into bed. I haven't needed more than that yet.

Two of the apartments I lived in in Long Beach only had a gas heater in the living room. Of course, it never really gets all that cold in Southern California. I can only remember the heater being used once or twice.

My apartment in western WA has those stupid heater strips that are often put below windows so you can't put up any fancy curtains. Oh and one is in the bathroom too, is small and does sod all, and the bathroom is built around that rather than literally everything else, leading to a needlessly large bathroom and small every other room. But I digress. These metal heater strips mounted at the bottom of walls are terrible; a relic of pre climate change when people thought Maine and western WA would never need air conditioning, let alone central heating.

Could not imagine living somewhere without Natural Gas.

Once the temp in the house dips below 62 our heat kicks on. It's been running for a bit, but I'll occasionally get our wood burner going and the heater won't really need to run.
