This is due to the crappy seasons, fall and winter suck.

It gets dark earlier, less daylight each day, cold and miserable.

I miss spring and summer already.

I hate daylight savings time. One hour doesnt make a difference when your life operates on a clock and a not sunlight.

Cant farmers just change their work hours during standard time rather than deal with dst?

Daylight Savings Time is spring and summer. Standard time is fall and winter. Standard time is the one that sucks, daylight savings time is the good one.

It's not for farmers. Farmers schedules are set by plants and/or animals, neither is affected by the change in clocks. DST is for people whose life operates on a clock.

Also, it doesn't help farmers. Their work hours are not set by clocks and if anything shifting their schedule "later" for most of the year makes it worse. The purpose was so city folk would use less candles and then electricity. But with modern light bulbs being so much more energy efficient who cares about that.

On DST there morning hours are darker and the evening hours are lighter. This makes it more dangerous for kids going to school, as they have to walk in the dark during the morning. And it makes sleep worse for the general population. It is easiest to fall asleep if it has been dark for awhile and easiest to wake up when there starts to be light.

All of that can be solved by changing when things are done rather than fucking around with the clock itself.
