Can you even get enough sticks for the full run tho? Especially when you need dupes to upgrade.

i got enough. it seems like once i pick up a stick they start showing up in shop more often.

three runs ago i got like two purple sticks and the rest blue. was hitting around 100 damage with the blues and crits were hitting 200s after some stat upgrades. enough to kill the elites. but im still dying bro!!!!! it's mainly these guys fault:

I agree on lots of runs being ended and you're like nooo

But that being said I don't remember brawler being that hard so I'm going to try a run right now.

i felt like i got pretty lucky this run.
also noticed that brawler does have higher % completion in the achievements than other characters like cryptid (altho cryptid does have to be unlocked in a particular way).

idk i guess brawler doesnt fit my play style that much but managed to get lucky this time with some items that really helped

i died around wave 14-18 so many times because of the junkies. didnt realize they kept spawning from a particular mob. thought they were just popping up from nowhere lol. but once i figured that out they became less of a nuisance.

Okay I just played through four runs of brawler and I swear I could beat it on D5. Each run I progressively got closer. But nowhere near as easy as it used to be before he revamped the difficulties. I'm just kind of glad that he did make it harder because it used to be too easy.

I might take a break for a while since I already have 260 hours and according to his latest update he's got some DLCs on the way as well as free content.

I think I'll reset my save file when we get a new DLC

I focused on a strategy of just building survivability and not trying to get elite killing damage. Most waves were pretty low stress as I always had a decent chunk of health.

Last night I finally completed multitasker after my brawler run and did it in 1 go. It was a relief playing a super OP character like damn. Difference is night n day.

did apprentice in 1 go . used similar set-up as when i did ghost. it's nice not having to place stats in melee damage! this character is OP IMO.

red axes were doing 259 non-crit damage per hit by the end so the bosses and elites died pretty quick. picked up the giant belt that adds bonus crit damage.

also apparently i already did a d5 run with lich wtf. i forgot about it. i did screenshot it. it was before i realized you could combine weapons. idr if i beat the bosses and elites. probably not since the stats look too low.

You can still nominate it on Steam! I actually took part in a discussion where I was surprised a bunch of entitled sounding people were crying about no update and they dont deserve a nomination. I mean the game is $5 bucks and has tons of replayability. It essentially had two early access periods with updates since the demo kept getting updated as if it was EA.

i think im too late to nominate. i found the page for it but it states november 28th at the top. and i wasn't able to interact with the 11 options (just a black box).

also yeah i noticed people complaining about the game on the steam discussions lol. well for 5 bucks i don't see the problem w/ low updates tbh.

anyway i beat glutton and sick today at d5. attempting gladiator now. have died a few times so far.

I'm gladiator is one of my least favorites. Since when I play I like to specialize in one or two weapons.

I don't see why it would be harder other than having to use a touch screen to navigate your character. Having arrow keys or a d-pad or control stick is much tighter control for some good jukes.

Less bonus stats on level up (level 5 and your hp is under 20, not even with penalty), faster enemy projectiles, and some others. Steam forum said the Android version was based on the older version.

Yeah I prefer specializing with weapons as well. Managed to beat gladiator with ghost axe, ghost spear, electrical knife thing, hand saw, regular spear, and flame fists. Became OP towards the end with all the weapons hitting in the 100s to 240s.

Glutton was fun for sure I liked seeing the explosion % go up.

I'm now playing fisherman and damn I think this might take me longer than brawler. I get up to around wave 10 atm. Picking up 2 to 4 baits per turn. Love seeing the damage % go up lol. Using spears atm. Barely surviving the initial onslaught of those leech things and then dying once more show up randomly.

I didn't know android version was tougher wow. I don't think ill ever play it.

i keep dying with fisherman. i got up to wave 19 one time w/ spears

rn im only getting up to around wave 10 w/ sticks. idk if i should just go lower baits. been picking up 4-6 per wave.

do the baits only affect the beginning of the wave or the entire thing? because i can survive the beginning with 6 baits (on pc version you just move to a corner and move towards the charging leeches and you'll probably survive) but the excess amount of leeches afterwards is just a pain to avoid lol

Oh yeah baits are a one-time spawn item. But boy are those little buggers killer.

I've done this so many times with blood bag or blood iv or whatever it's called. Also a few times with Sick.

i finally beat fisherman =]. i nearly died in wave 20 because i picked up like 8 baits just for fun and couldnt handle it too well. but luckily i survived

also ffs at a certain point with high enough stats all i had to do to survive was stand in a corner. the chances of the leech energy balls hitting me were very slim. i probably could have survived in a few other runs if i had done that earlier. Didnt discover this till this run

Sticks are nice. This is my first time with all of the highest tier weapons .

I think the previously bought baits do affect the amount of them showing up during mid wave for the fisherman. Since in my spear run I had around 60 baits by this wave and i don't recall this many leeches that time.

I was trying to manually dodge them earlier too . Seemed like an impossible task to me. Im so glad they can't really aim at the corners. Probably just need high atk speed and extra range or maybe just enough damage to one shot them to totally avoid them. Haven't tried it with lower stats yet since I just discovered this the previous wave in an act of desperation.

did cyborg with planks. did a run with wrenches previously but died at wave 20. the bosses were just tanking everything lol.

with planks i was doing good damage. like 200+ and 400 crits once the range damage transferred over to engineering

Building him with planks is interesting.

Cyborg seems a little one-dimensional to me.

how powerful was the old mini gun? i noticed in a previous run (don't remember the character) that my sub machine guns were more powerful than a mini gun at the same tier (this was after some stat upgrades). was confused by that lol

yesterday i did a mage d5 run. used 3 tasers and 3 lightning knives. felt extremely powerful against normal enemies. bosses took a bit longer to kill but manageable. took me like 2-3 tries i think.

started a chunky run afterward on the same day. altho I didn't beat it till now!! i kept dying. idk how many tries it took i lost count.
tried 4 choppers + 2 scepters. 6 scepters. 2 scepters + 4 ghost axes. then 6 choppers. then all rocks. eventually settled on sticks again! if i didn't beat it with sticks id probably have tried it with pruners next.

also i bought the harvesting crown item on wave 10. it did not give me +8 harvesting per wave after that. it was broken this run not sure if it'll occur again in another run.

Lol I started fiddling with the bar and now I can never get it back to 100%. Its so sensitive that when I get it to 100 and take my finger off the screen it jumps to some random number. And theres no reset to default option

Ahh i see that makes sense. The smg does suck without penetration upgrades imo.

I've been trying to beat the game with Crazy potato. Got close my 1st time. Up to wave 17. I remember killing the elites fast with 2 knives (both blue) + 4 shurikens (2 reds, 1 purple, 1 blue). Had upgraded melee to like 50 and got 50% damage modifier by that point. Attack speed was at like 90% too.

At wave 17 I got too cocky and started running into enemy crowds. Well one of the larger monsters killed me in like 1 to 2 seconds cuz I ran into it. Was so bummed out by that lol. The two runs after that I was too weak and died to elites
Omg.

Crazy potatoe is pretty fun. Characters based around precise or critical weapons usually are. Hunter he doesn't have anything but it still works great with speedy.

i completed 20 waves w/ Crazy earlier this morning. actually died a lot tbh lol.

i ended up just using knives. the shurikens were awesome but i wanted more damage! also i keep underestimating the effectiveness of range. a few of the times i died i had like negative range (from buying items with negative bonuses) and couldnt hit the elites because they were protected/surrounded by mooks!

also used fighting sticks with mutant. i saw its damage was affected by the character's level so seemed good for this character

At some point the game just starts doubling everything every wave. Tier 1 items cost like 700-900 and tier 4 items cost 3000 to 4000. Enemies have ridiculous life and hit for hundreds of damage at a time.

idr which characters have been the strongest for me so far. id choose them for an endless run tho once i remember who they were. ill just look through my screenshots and posts.

I don't remember. I was playing streamer here which has some tremendous damage penalties so that's the stat I was focusing on. I was -300% damage at one point. I racked up multiple copies of bloody hand with each one providing ~200% damage which is how I got over it.

seems like it. they're wearing green/red hats and occasionally a big fat santa comes out.

You get a free item on every new game that gives you 10% speed, 50% chance to attract material, and gives you landmines.

Santa is a pain in the ass to kill sometimes.

managed to beat demon with this set-up. it took a while for both bosses to die compared to other weapons ive tried but at least i was pretty tanky so didn't feel threatened by them.
started with 6 scepters at first

also the obliterator seems powerful

Old - Felt OP af! very fun. used 3 submachine guns and 3 shotguns. took 1 attempt.

Ranger - pretty strong. by wave 20 used 2 submachine guns, 1 minigun, 1 revolver, and two shotguns. took 1 attempt

Generalist - average power. took me 5-10 tries. used 3 spears, 2 sling shots, and 1 submachine gun my last attempt.

Farmer - Most OP character I've played so far imo. 1 shotted. just used pruners but could have switched it up for sure since i had many resources. that said the pruners were doing like 200 regular damage and w/ crits around double that so didn't feel like changing them lol.

Pacifist - Took me a few tries this one. Umm got very tanky in the end. just used the palm

Doctor - this one was pretty OP too. Only had to do 1 attempt. by wave 20 i was using 4 scissors and 2 hand saws.

Got around 9 or 10 characters left
