I am just trying to beat the game with all the different characters but only a few of them actually seem viable. The rest are horrible handicaps unto themselves.

A few updates ago they really jacked up the difficulty. I used to be able to beat 5 with any character. Now it's actually pretty difficult but I kind of like it because it was getting a little boring.

What characters are you best with?

Yeah, it's a fun game, but far from balanced. The characters are either overpowered or useless with no real middle ground.

I'd probably reinstall it if they'd stop focusing on adding more classes and actually balance out the ones they already have.

King seems like a total stomp once you get tier 4 stuff. I also wreck shit with the primitive dude who starts with a stick I just do 6 stick build usually. Also recently unlocked lich and I built a dodge tank and was able to just stand in one spot most of the game. Was unkillable but didn't have the damage to kill the boss before time ran out.

I've tried so many times to make brawler and one armed work and I just can't.

Edit: no sooner than I say that I managed to beat the game with one armed. Started with shredder and switched to rocket launcher mid way through.

Primitive dude and sticks is so boring

Lich and masochist are broken. Yeah you can basically just pile on stuff that lets you take more damage and murder everybody.

One arm is one the most fun classes in the game. Trick is to exploit multiple forms of damage and take damage whenever you can and avoid taking anything that takes away from it. I probably have the most play time on this character.

Old man is also really fun for a turret or mine build. Having a small arena makes all your turrets or mines destroy everything.

What difficulty are you playing on? Personally I try beating everything on two before upping the scale.

I'm still doing zero to get a feel for the game. I just did a run with entrepreneur. Very unfun class. I only played it to get the 12 weapon recycled character who looks slightly more interesting. King is still my favorite so far. Dude just goes full ham in the late game. I'm having trouble unlocking the 200 healing in one wave character. I thought for sure lich would do it but it didn't work.

I played it for a little while a few months ago, had my fill of it and shelved it. Kinda want to go back and knock another chunk out of my completion rate.

It's kinda similar, but it's got small arenas and there's a buying/selling mechanic for items instead of just randomly getting something with each level up.

You basically have to use Sick for that. Stack HP and Life Steal.

There's a few mechanical differences like with enemy AI and the upgrade system is very different. It's also very short. Like faster than VS hyper mode. It's definitely one of the more interesting clones.

Entrepreneur is a decent character. The only reason I like it is because it is kind of interesting to be forced to spend all your money and have everything be cheaper. It's the polar opposite character I don't like which is Saver who I think has more expensive stuff but starts with a piggy bank and does more damage the more money you hoard.

One arm and renegade are my favorites though. One arm because his absurd attack speed he starts with and making one weapon work is a lot of fun. Renegade is awesome because he makes everything into a shotgun.

I got 200 healing with Bull. Beat the game but once again I couldn't kill the boss.

Yeah there's no meta progression of any kind except for unlocking new characters

Of course not, I mean you were familiar with vampire survivors and you don't keep anything when you die in that game.

The game is about making a cool build and getting a good run in.

I played for like an extra 30-60 mins after my post last night/morning. I only made it up to wave 15 or so on normal mode. I'll try again later today

Yeah I was just sad. My 1st run I had a bunch of purple tier weapons. Next couple were barren. But I now know that luck stat affects it.

My best danger 5 run so far ended at 18. I was so close

I mean it does but at the same time I've had my friend backseat game with me and piss him off so much because I ignore the luck stat a lot of the time and get crazy good items. I started doing it because I watched a bunch of indie YouTubers Play the game who sings to ignore it as well. I'll usually only take a lot of luck if I'm doing a luck build or if items scale damage off luck because that's more money to dump into rerolls or different items.

I just really like it because Dangerouslyfunny played it a lot.

I need to actually load it up and try it. I liked Undermine after all.

DF actually can advertise some decent games when he is not doing the mobile ones or the leaf blower thing.

looked up a video and it seems like im playing the character all wrong. my stat allocation are no where close to theirs -_-

I forget who got it for me during the steam summer sale but thanks whoever did. It kicks my ass and I only have 2 completions but it's quite fun.

Finally got all the items unlocked. Last one was for beating the game with golem which was easier than I thought it would be. Overall worst character is Lucky IMO. They have a strong ability but the resource and xp handicap is a killer for late game

I'm trying out soldier now. I read you get nuke launcher for beating a run with them. And then have to finish a run with Loud for rip n tear.
