Even if Biden is losing his memory, he is far better person.

Is he to be expected to remember literally everything at his age? I'm 43 and I can't remember shit that happened a few years ago without reminders. Everything just blends together.

Yeah, I'd rather have a Biden with a failing memory over Trump with or without a failing memory. Biden is more likely to have decent people running his administration.

I do agree we should have younger candidates to avoid this issue, though.

This topic was totally 100% made in good faith.

"in 2009 am I still vice President" is not a statement of saying is he still VP in 2009.... it sounds like they are asking him about something in 2009 and he is asking if that's when he is already vice president.

I would prefer to see the context of these statements as out of context it might *seem* one way but Biden is known to stutter and flub answers with backwards statements, such as, for example potentially saying "still VP" when he meant "already VP"....

It really shouldn't be Biden or Trump

The 2010s are hard to remember the years in that decade tend blur together. I can't tell the difference between 2012 and 2014.

I like Joe Biden as a person. I think he has done a good job as President. He is worlds better than Trump. But if I am honest, I am concerned about his age. Not enough not to vote for him (I would vote for my dog over Trump), but I do wish the Democrats were putting up someone younger.

But this whole Biden has memory problems because of what he couldnt remember during legal proceedings is not something I am worried about. I have read and participated in literally hundreds of depositions and such over my career. People misspeak and forget stuff, even important stuff, all the time when placed on the spot in that setting. They usually correct promptly. I bet this would look better if we had the full transcript and context to read.

To my trained eye, this reads very much like cherry picking a long interview to make an opponent look bad. Have not seen a full transcript so so not know for sure. But I am highly skeptical.

I was 6 when my grandfather died. I can't remember the date. My grandmother dies when I was 21. October 1st, I think.

But I sure as shit will forever remember the dates that my parents died.

This idea that you think it's no big deal that he couldn't remember the YEAR, not the day or month, but the YEAR that his son died is absolutely wild to me.

I work in insurance, parents, even young ones, often struggle to remember the birthdates and even birth years of their kids and that's a major life event. The exact years people died can also be a struggle from what I've seen.

I dont see how he is even acting as president at this point. Why does it seem like The world is aligned to give Trump every chance possible to take over the country? Literally the only thing standing in the way is a senile 81 year old biden, and when it gets pointed out, people just dogpile on the TC and say he must be MAGA. That really doesnt help

I confuse the years in which both my parents die often. I usually remember 1996 as my father (was 1995) and 2012 as my mother (was 2011). I can't even begin to recall the years my grandparents died...

The important context here is it was a MAGA dude appointed as special counsel, and they couldnt find any real evidence but are still trying to give the right wing talking points to make this investigation seem like it was legitimate

For all his flaws, and there sure were a lot, UBI and championing Ranked Choice Voting were definitely two of his stronger stances.

I wish I could have a candidate with policies I like who's in their 40's or 50's but the choice we're being given is between two old men, one of which will be president come 2025.
