Phone numbers are unreliable, not everyone made the jump to Instagram. Granted, a lot of people delete their Facebook accounts out of nowhere, but it's still the best way I've found to keep in touch with people I've known since 2013ish or earlier. Years later, tried to login and got a notice that my account would be banned unless I send them photo ID. I upload a picture of my driver's license. Don't hear back. I try submitting the form a few more times. My account gets banned at the time they originally stated. If I try to login, it says the account doesn't exist. Unfortunately while all my oldest friends from high school/hometown have migrated to Discord, somehow my college friends absolutely refuses to move off of Facebook Messenger for no good reason.
