It is a continuation of the old 97 cartoon so Rogue had a butt and now she doesn't is the same thing.
This is isn't supposed to be treated like a new series as it even starts where the old one left off and these are the same characters in the same costumes with the same development from the previous.
I get the argument why removing the butt is good to make it watchable for kids, but you don't then argue that isn't censoring. I was mostly joking
Rogue in 97 looks like she did for 99.99 percent of the old show. That butt scene was one meme shot from one minute of one episode.

X-men the animated series was a good but flawed cartoon.

Spiderman the animated series was a decent show that got worse every season and was unwatchable at the end.

As such correct that in some actions scenes the butt appears flatter than in others. But note that if someone says most of the time it looks that way they aren't being honest.

She probably was too sexy for a kids cartoon depending on how you view that. Same for probably the Batman TAS ladies.
Anyways, I don't really care if they make her hot in the new version

And none of it matches the apocalypse shot that has became a meme. All people are doing is comparing one shot of the original with one shot of the new one. For all we know there might be shots in 97 where her behind is larger. Larger then normal I mean, not larger then the Apocalypse image

Not to fair to compare animation to shows that came out decades apart, and I felt the 90's X-men had the most fleshed out versions of most of them...in Wolverine in the X-men only Wolverine and oh...Frost even had time to develop personality.

Hell Magneto was still the best in the 90's version as he backtracked in complexity in later versions. Gambit just got reduced to a cameo in the later shows along some of the others. The 90's one is still the only one to give us Cable and many others to.

I won't deny that later shows had some like Iceman, Nightcrawler, or Shadowcat have much larger roles since they were part of the team...I guess it depends on who you care about being in the show more since they had different core teams.

Yeah and people are aware that other character designs for Rogue exist. Many even flatter then the 97 design. Like Wolverine and the X-Men's twig Rogue.

Yet only this one gets hate because of the meme, because it's more personal.

Well it's not like they aired decades apart, so if you're going to claim one is so much better than the others, it's fair to talk about everything.

And I don't care about cameos. I care about actual food writing/dialogue, which sucked in TAS.

I mean, X-men 92 started in 92, Evolution started in 2000, and Wolverine and the X-men aired in 2009 so that is almost decades apart in when they each aired.

I mean, the 90's show did have a lot of good lines so not sure what else you were looking for but does not seem we are going to agree on this.

It's not like the 90s cartoon gave us everyone. Like no Kitty Pride going as far as removing her from "Days of future's past" her most well known storyline. Or how Havok was just a cameo in one episode, despite Cyclops having a whole storyline about his missing family. They never had a real reunion between the brothers.

I love X-Men TAS but all the shows picked and choose who they used and how they used them.

2 more just cause it is quite nice. whatever the case hope you guys are right and it was just one out of context scene of the new show and doesn't mean they nerfed her.

But early last week, Marvel and DeMayo suddenly parted ways. His company email was deactivated and cast and crew were informed he was no longer on the project. DeMayos Instagram account, once a source for X-Men updates, was deleted. No reason for the firing was given.

What is there really to say here about this guy? We have no idea why he was fired.

Even the Comics does not have ALL the X-men in a arc at once, they picked and choose who would round out the show and sent everyone else to the reserves, there was no way they were going to have every active member on the show at once.

Yep. One of the only times he was allowed to throw a punch on that show, Spidey was fighting the Spot, and naturally, the fist went through one of Spot's dimensional holes and came out of another, resulting in poor Peter punching himself.

The network also demanded that Spidey not disturb any pigeons whenever he landed on rooftops. This was deliberately referenced in the later cartoon, The Spectacular Spider-Man, in which Peter repeatedly startled pigeons by swinging by, got thrown at pigeon cages, etc.

Yep. Which is one of many reasons why I don't buy the chuds' claims of "censorship" just because, for example, Rogue isn't being constantly sexualized (never mind that they only really show one screenshot of her from the old cartoon as "proof" of their "censorship" claim for X-Men '97): newer shows face considerably less censorship than the ones we grew up on back in the day.

Heck, Time Fugitive not only having it's variation on the Legacy Virus which is basically a call out to AIDS scare. And it's basically AIDS manufactured as a means to justify such.

This goes for more than X-Men really. There is a whole list I love posting since these guys try to find loopholes for why they did like it:
  • The new He-Man and She-Ra shows werent woke reboots, the original 80s shows were co-opted by the LGBT community as soon as they aired, some of the staff was part of the community and the showmakers also publicly supported this group.
  • Think all your anime and JRPGs are based because of conservative Japan? Fuck off, FFVII is literally about protection of the planet and has many eco-friendly themes, you play as a group of ecoterrorists who would hate your ass. Japan also has positive depictions of LGBT and progressive themes, the west even censored Sailor Moon because of this.
  • One of the most progressive shows to ever be made is from 1989 and is a Euro-Japanese collaboration. Its cultural heritage of many countries, even the most conservative people have seen and liked it as a kid. They often talk about it but there is no way in hell they could love this show, they just forgot all about it:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/6/61dea670.jpg
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/6/6004142c.jpg
  • Not only X-Men had progressive themes, DC and Marvel in general were filled with these since their inception.
  • I saw a thread about MGS3 being too hardcore for the current crowd and the remake needing to be censored for them. They probably forgot who The Boss is and what the themes around her are.

Also Captain Planet and the Planeteers which quality aside we use to think that the Eco-Villains were absurd cause no one would willingly do something to harm the environment or doing so for laughs.

But besides the assertion that heavy-handed entertainment was non-existent there is the claim that the 1900s as a whole was relaxed when it came to sensitivity. Yeah no matter how one spins it, finding a kiss between people of two different races or same gender appalling and arrest worthy is being oversensitive.

Or even if one followed all of their religious rules consistently, I would think that catering to the point of making laws in their favor would be considered coddling.
