So since there's no topic for episode 6, I guess we can just discuss the episode here.

Good episode. Rex is a fucking beast and I can't wait to see how much he improves as a person and a fighter. I'm surprised Rae actually survived. I thought being chewed up was what really would have killed her.

I liked the interaction with Allen and Immortal and Mark trying to talk to Immortal with his mind but failing.

I'm glad they let Rex survive, in the comics he died from the headshot. He's such an interesting character and truly deserves a good redemption arc.

Damn, really? That's pretty incredible that they changed that for the animation. I think it's great that they're able to make changes that will throw even the people who read the comics for a loop.

I hope it does not mean Eve's going to get back with him and Mark just stays with Amber...but that would be quite the major change from the comic.

Actually, thinking about this a little bit more, it could just mean that Rex still ends up dying, but in a different time and way. In any case, it'll be interesting to see.

I don't trust the babysitter tbh. Feel like she's gonna end up being abusive or something.

I also don't trust the "rebel" Viltrumite, so now I'm a little worried about him getting all of that info.

Dr. Light but pretty much everyone hated it.

A far more recent example is Spider-Verse making the Spot really intimidating and dangerous.

And it's only a one-issue thing, but it's kind of the whole plot of Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow? Some of Superman's more harmless, nuisance enemies like Bizarro and Toyman suddenly start murdering people in cold blood. It turns out Mr. Mxyzptlk decided he'd gotten bored of being mischievous and decided to try being evil.
