Oh yeah. Those ads suck. Multiple unskippable minute long ads. I don't know if they're as shit as Hulu ads though. On Hulu, if you rewind through an ad break, you gotta go through the entire ad break again.

Looking at the comic page, it looks like they made that scene more brutal for the show. And it also made Rex look like a dumb ass in that moment as well

I appreciate their dedication to making things more horrific than the comic did. And the sound design was unfortunately top notch.

That episode was raw as hell, I'm curious about angstrom though the start of this season made it seem like he would play a bigger part of this story but hasn't done anything worthwhile yet

They're not..Forced 2 minute ads four times throughout the show that can't be skipped. It's god.awful for a paid subscription that already increases in price every year. There's no need to defend a shitty practice like this that will inspire other streaming sites to do the same.

Fucking YouTube is even better than this shit, and it's free. At least youtube's ads are short and can be skipped, and worked around with ad blockers even.

I think a work around is to download for offline viewing, switch to offline, and then view. I watched episodes 1-4 ad free on my flight a couple days ago

I got a short ad for Apex Legends at the start, followed by an announcement that 'this programme is brought to you ad free by Apex Legends'.

Still bullshit, of course, but not quite as rank.

Surely there are more heroes on earth that could have filled in at Guardian HQ for added security. Things might have gone differently if they had called in some people for a guard shift

Yeah I could do that. I can put it on the TV through other ways I just think some of them take a hit in resolution. I'll take that hit though.

So I was thinking about Kate's role in this episode during work today and was wondering why the hell she had always gotten so close to combat. Her clones have always been shown to be squishy as shit, always being torn apart or just killed off quickly in every single battle she's been in. There was no reason for her to be in such close proximity at any time.

And as for Rae, why didn't she just do like she did with that one guy and just make herself so small as to be undetectable and just scramble brains from the inside and move onto another enemy to do the same?

Both of their deaths could have been so easily avoided.

Tactically it is a more sound strategy, but it's probably more convenient to create her duplicates as close to the fight as possible.

Oh, and as for Kate, do we ever see her duplicate from a duplicate? It might only be her main body that can do it and as you said, they're super fragile. Sending them in without her wouldn't do much.

I can't believe I forgot to mention the absolute hilarity of the guy revealing he's a Viltrumite by ripping off all of his facial hair except the Ron Swanson mustache. I know Mark is half-Asian, but surely the mustache gene would override that.
