It began development as a completely original IP called Dinosaur Planet before the Star Fox elements were retooled in and I think it honestly works better if you just imagine you're playing Dinosaur Planet instead. Also, everyone says the Test of Strength is hard but I didn't find it difficult at all. There was an offer within the game to subscribe and get a guide for it, so I did. I don't remember what they said for that part, but it wasn't helpful. My parents gave me a turbo controller at some point, so I ended up using it once and for that specific task. I liked this game a lot as a kid. I don't dare play this game again because it'll surely tarnish my good memories of it (except for the Test of Strength, I would probably have an easier time with it now), but one thing I always return to is the soundtrack. Here you have legendary composer David Wise bringing his A game, and nobody cares because it's stuck in a shitty game.
