I have an old 16:10 monitor that I use most of the time since I like the extra height over 16:9.
for gaming or anything art related, I use a 27" ASUS pro-art. I'd use it as my main monitor but it's too big for my desk so I pretty much use it as a TV except when doing anything art related (it has really accurate colors for anything that needs to be printed)

I wish that there were higher resolution 5:4 monitors available, it seems like they all max out at 1280x1024. iirc Huawei made a 4k 3:2 monitor, but it's Huawei so idk how easily it'd be able to get in America.

I have a 32" curved screen hooked up to my main rig, it's only 1080p but runs at 240Hz. I've been on the hunt for a (second hand) 4K monitor.

My laptop can handle 4K but unfortunately the 3080 cannot.

I also have a 55" 4K TV hooked up to my sim rig. I tend to use it to watch movies more than actually drive in it, though.

PC as a home theater.

Currently using a 55 Samsung but trying to save up for a 77 LG C3, or newer equivalent depending on whats out when the time comes. My optimal viewing distance on the 55 measures out to around 6, and I would really like a little more space for the rare times I have a guest, so upgrading size is the only real option. Otherwise, smaller details when gaming are too challenging to see (my 55 used to be at 10 or so).

i told myself this when i got a 24" monitor. and now i'm thinking with how i'm gonna set my monitor up, i could go bigger than the 32" i have right now.

i also told myself this when i upgraded from a 42" to 55" tv. 55" seemed huge for my living room at the time. i'm rockin a 65" now, thinking if i wall mount it i probably could have gone 75"

For a while I considered getting a projector/screen and putting the desk near the far end of the room with just a wireless mouse/keyboard on it.

But it was absurdly space inefficient.
