I mean, Corrik is obviously lying. Any doctor using their brain would protect MZero. By protecting the Taunter who can stop nightkills just by taunting scum, it'd effectively act as a doc save + cop scan in one action. That's massive, especially if we have another dedicated investigative role.

Now, that's assuming the doctor isn't an idiot, at least. Protecting MZero is very clearly the optimal play here. Which is why I'm interested in hearing who MZero targeted last night, because it's more likely than not the reason why there was no kill last night.

This feels like exactly the same kind of post that Ben rightfully called me out for last game. A bunch of thoughts that I dont expect town to bother with but scum definitely wants to get ahead of. Plus an added touch of fishing for claims.

Kirby's insistence on hyping up the taunter and bringing MZero into it has not once sat right with me, especially since no "doctor with a brain" even considers MZero for a save.

It's a lot of words that feel like they do nothing but try to set up MZero's target to be scum.

The feel I get out of Corrik and Kirby's actions is a scumteam that's in a big hole because of all the damage Knightz did to them chasing after information and mislynches.

MI looking good for being the first to question Knightz attitude, Peaf looks okay for following that trend the next page.
Ulti looks good either way for being the one Knightz tried to sheep while Ulti had none of it.

I mean my Bloodborne team had a kidnap and we never even used it.

There's rarely an instance where you're forced to use something that early, and being behind actually makes it all the more prudent to use it right.

A scumteam that loses that kind of role day 1 cannot afford to lose me. I wouldn't use a ninja or strongman kill down my roleblocker after day 1 no matter who had the power. The only way I send the kill is if something is forcing me to do it.

While that's possible, Corrik would still have no reason to be treating a roleblock as a scum scan.

FD starts with a bit of a neutral Knightz stance, but him getting the claim fumble out of Knightz is enough to give FD townpoints.

Meanwhile Ben is the first to say Knightz is 'fine'
Unfortunate bad read from Ben. But that early its probably 'fine'

Btw people should stop saying Chang wanted to kill Knightz right away
He wanted to drop a ton of questions on him as a blitz

The time was never right. It was that simple.

And no, he's never given a reason why. I don't think that's the most important part though. It isn't even his obstinate insistence that it makes me scum.

The killer thing about Corrik's claim is ultimately that it's impossible for me to have been roleblocked without my knowledge.

My immediate reaction was to be completely clear that it didn't happen. I wasn't assuming I wasn't, I was saying I wasn't.

He retorted by saying I wouldn't have been informed.

But that's impossible. As soon as he doubled down on his fake claim, he hung himself.

When it comes down to it, the whys really don't matter here.

I just thought of an amazing comedy option.

A fantastically amazing comedy option that is the one and only scenario where there IS a chance that Corrik is town, because it breaks the most damning part of his claim.

And that's if MZero targeted him last night.

If MZero targeted him, and only if he targeted him, Corrik isn't actually confirmed scum.

Shoulda waited for Mzero to say something before pointing that out tho.

Not that Mzero is getting away with NOT revealing who he targeted.

Ulti is actually scum and he could not talk to Knightz due to his discord aversion so he blatantly signalled to Knightz INTOPIC that he expected him to claim vanilla.

Not at all a believer of this. But I want credit for it postgame on the off chance that it turns out to be true.

Doesn't matter. I mean Corrik is probably just scum either way and if MZero is scum (he isn't) and wants to tie himself directly to Corrik more power to him.

It's not like scum wouldn't have already thought of doing that to begin with in that scenario.

But also it opens up other possibilities. If MZero targeted Corrik, it's possible he's just being awful town and that scum tried to kill someone other than me, and that Corrik's actions are completely unrelated to everything.

Basically that comedy option removes both the biggest scum point on Corrik and the biggest town point on me.

And I would personally go for Kirby first in that exact scenario.

Source? Because as I recall I pressured him to justify WHY his flavor was vanilla and that's around when he fell apart.

If you want to take points away you can dock me for preferring the taco lynch when it seemed like it could be both of them. But once the brothers saga ended and I settled on the knightz lynch I stuck with it.

Yeah I agree I would call that kind if I had said it to literally anyone else, but I feel like I was judging Knightz on a step curve based upon his incomprehensible play style from Toy Story. I'm honestly surprised he waited until he had two votes to claim

Add Ctes to the list of "people who defended Knightz day1 and were like-quoted by Kirby while Kirby still has said nothing about Knightz himself"

Ctes in general had a lackluster approach to Knightz

I think Blade is right that SBell and Lopen cannot be paired. I get the points against both, but Taco and Knightz looks unlikely to be paired either imo. If Taco is scum someone who played baseball mafia is certainly on the table. If you wanna lynch either, less to gamble with by lynching Knightz as taunter can perhaps self resolve.

Topic3 is when people seem to push away from Knightz due to "him and Taco being a distraction for now"
Which is half fair and half suspicious.

To sum up the state of topic3's beginning.
Peaf is wary of people focusing JUST on Taco/Knightz
Ben believed Knightz to be explainable town
FD was still willing to lynch Knightz but wanted to look elsewhere for scum for a bit.
Sbell didnt want people to use Taco/Knightz as a shield. He never explained what he meant by that when asked.

For example, I was one of the first to read Ulti as probable town, even before you who then chimed in specifically agreeing with my read. I opted not to include the taco slot (inb4 Fandoms wrath) because to me, that was low hanging fruit as a town read and didnt feel like it honored the spirit of the question.

I hope Isquen starts chiming in more once his meds kick in but I havent seen anything to change my mind.

Ben is probably town, but he made a bad first impression on me for claiming early suspicion of me without actually giving a reason or engaging me about it in any way. Especially since he did this right after Blade suspected me with faulty/scummy reasoning, and it felt like Ben moved on once momentum stalled. Initial misgivings aside, Ben feels towny.

Overall Bens defense of Knightz looks less weaselly than Changmas
His reason of 'Knightz will prove himself town if town' is inherently useless as a scumpartner defense when Knightz cant do what Ben wants him to do.
Plus I also thought a town Knightz could probably prove himself eventually.
All day long I wanted Knightz to explain his 'arguing why I am vanilla' sentence. Part of me really thought that maybe he just used weird wording due to FD explaining to him what paraphrasing was.
But nope, just scum using scum lingo.

Compare that logic with Changmas 'lets lynch someone who is a threat', which is just sleasy.

Why is Chang legit? Chang has done jack squat besides 1) reprimand FD for going down every rabbit hole along his path and 2) advocate hard for not lynching Knightz

The guy with imo the towniest d1 vibes called someone in my poe who hasnt done much of anything legit and I wanted to know how that was possible based on Changs lackluster resume. I was skeptical but still hoped to find Chang town based on Peafs reasoning and high confidence.

Calling that pre-emptive falsely implies its only a valid stance for me to take once Knightz flips scum. But in an alternate scenario where Knightz flipped town, Chang advocating not to lynch Knightz would still not make him legit. It would be the easiest thing in the world for scum to look at a mislynch and go golly gee Im not so sure you guys. You look great if the mislynch is averted and you can say I told you so if the mislynch happens.
