YESTERDAY: WTF SPACE INVADERS LOST?! Really was not expecting that as DK barely kept up with it in the original topic and only tied it at the last second. Wild. As someone said in the last topic, Space Invaders could straight up be on the Video Games Rushmore. Guess we'll see when that happens at the end of the month!

Fighting games had SO MUCH DISCOURSE, legit me scrolling for like a solid minute looking for stray votes hidden amongst the arguments. For such a "competitive" Rushmore, there really was not actually any competition at all. Nothing came close to the top 4 for the entire topic which actually made this very boring to tally despite the much loved discourse.

I never knew what a Torta was, but those sandwiches are just...just the best.

Both are incredibly hard to find in the northeast from my experience though. Only found 2 shops "near me" that sold a Torta and one closed down.

Also this is a weird misconception that got out there and isn't true.

Mexican girls love to arbitrarily gatekeep things from being "real" Mexican so I believe it was said but it also should be regarded as arbitrary gatekeeping as it is rather than credible information.

also live in the northeast and find both relatively common but where I live has a pretty big Hispanic community close by

I went to a Mexican restaurant in Mexico just once, with my parents and sister, because I was in Mexico all of four hours. But I felt like we as a family ordered the four most generic possible meals (it was amazing though).
