I used to take showers with my parents, it isn't that weird. Heck I used to take showers with my cousins. As long as there is no inappropriate touching, it doesn't matter. Maybe Ashley looking back on it is now uncomfortable with the thought of showering with her parent.

It being mentioned alongside (within the context of) her feeling she had been molested could make someone draw conclusions that she may not have meant about her dad.

But if she had been abused after the fact (Of showering with her dad), it could make her look back on wholly innocent situations in a new light and color those innocent situations into something else (Wording it as 'maybe not appropriate') that they were not. It isn't her fault, that's just how abuse can color our whole outlook.

I personally wouldn't shower with my children and don't recommend it either. That said, this is actually quite normal in some cultures/families for parent and child to shower together and think nothing of it until a certain age.

So you would have to be more specific if these showers were just showers, or something more. What were they doing, how old, etc.

Remember that 90 day fiance and the dude had to shower with the father? This was two grown men but apparently it was cultural.
