I'd rather the Homeworld developers do a Total War Star Wars, but I guess if people want gungan ground battles than Creative Assembly would be the right people.

I recently got Shogun 2 on sale since I remember liking the first one back in the day, but I think it might be a little too complicated for me to enjoy. I liked the simplicity of the original.

Yes. It's very unique as far as strategy games go because of the separation between the battle map and the campaign map. Campaign gameplay is similar to many other 4x strategy games. It's turn-based, and you build up your empire. But battles are real-time tactics. Control and give orders to each individual unit in your army, adjust their formation, etc. Anyway, I'm extremely skeptical of a Star Wars Total War actually being conceived.
