if theyre hurt by the patriarchy then why do we say how men have it so good. I agree everyone is hurt by the patriarchy, and its because of that I dont think it makes much sense to look at societal ills through the lens of gender, the average person of both genders suffers under our unjust society in different ways. If were playing the Olympics of suffering I guess we can argue which demographic suffers most, but I think men suffers enough that the patriarchy does no good for them and actively harms their life with its toxicity

Because I am now limited to 10 posts in a 24 hour period. My right to speak is being suppressed. That is the definition of censorship. The fact the topic is still here should be proof enough that my warning was not justified. They would have deleted or locked the topic if I broke ToS.

The mods couldnt even tell me how I broke ToS. I swear if I could reshare the post that got me warned nobody would say its justified. Ive been on this website long enough to know when Im breaking ToS. I absolutely did not. This moderation was BS.

The people I spend my time with agree patriarchal culture and society should change. The patriarchy does a good deal of harm to the average man and a tremendous amount of harm for the average woman. Those who want the patriarchy around are either ignorant or one of those few with actual power that actually stands to benefit from said patriarchy , feel free to disagree

For all the concern that men can be assault victims, do many of us feel the need to stick to long clothing constantly to avoid any incidents, especially those who berate women for short clothing?

Trump's rise to power does seem to come from at least a chunk of men who hate woman as much as he does.

The old patriarchy basically propped up men as a whole, but not that's not the current version.

The modern patriarchy benefits the male elite while other men get less and less out of it the lower on the economic and social totem poles they are. So there's a communication issue when trying to discuss it on internet forums that largely occupy, to put it kindly, disenfranchised men; these guys get all the negatives of toxic masculinity but not few if any of the benefits of being male that would often come with it.

Who actually has a better life: a stereotypical CEman or a stereotypical CEgal? Male privilege doesn't distribute evenly lol.

"The only men who complain about being hurt by how they're viewed are misogynists" is a self-fulfilling prophecy, putting that claim or implication in so many places prevents men who don't want to be viewed as sexists from feeling safe saying how they feel. I was afraid to talk about my intense gender dysphoria for a very long time because of that attitude, and honestly still feel afraid to because I never feel like I pass enough. It doesn't help that this can even creep into trans spaces, having been AMAB makes me feel imposter syndrome when saying I'm nonbinary.

I dont have the stats to the particular scenario but would imagine hardly any men feel that way. But I wouldnt find it unreasonable if men in general feared being victims of violence almost as much as women given that both genders are to prone to similar rates of violent crimes being committed on them. at least if we go by the data from here:

Just because misandry is less prevalent on a societal level, doesn't detract form how it effects an individual.
