1. Really who's doing damage to our gender more? The woman who reports her male predator and vents about men in the heat of the moment? Or the guy perpetuating such behavior?

2. And when you think about it, victim blaming entails suggesting that men can't control their urges. So while trying to defend a male predator, they dismiss countless other guys who have self control.

So more like good men suffer more from our own gender ironically.

It bothers me because I am a good person. It doesnt get under my skin personally but I know people that are more easily influenced than myself probably are hurt by these comments.

Also Im not saying you are gaslighting but I feel like this kind of response is close to it. If I am bothered by this now I have to wonder am I a good person? When the reality of the situation is that these type of comments should have never been made in the first place.

I don't know why people are ganging up on the TC, there should be some level of concern about the whole "men are trash" ideology. Just because it's not happening in a grand scale compared to the hatred women get doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We should work to stop all levels of hate imo. And just because someone is concerned about this doesn't trivialize all the issues women get, we could and should help both parties involved.

I don't see over half the people posting against TC here in any topic where men are being criticized. There is a huge bias.

It's just that usually some people do bring up discrimination against guys, hets and whites so as to dismiss the discrimination of old or even to suggest them obsolete.

Meanwhile all TC did was complain about people who call men trash and hate random men just for being men and he was immediately accused of being salty over a meme, complaining about an issue that's not really a thing, being hateful towards women, going down the "misogynistic rabbit hole'" and needing to touch grass, not posting in good faith, having a meltdown, etc.

I know in post #7 you said that you don't know and don't care about the reason that women are choosing the bear... But are you really going to choose willful ignorance, just so you can be offended?

Women choosing the bear is literally saying that we are not the same as bears. Not that man are trash or anything. But that, since humans are capable of doing a lot of heinous things compared to animals, that they'd rather take their chances with an animal. Not every man would do monstrous things, but since they won't know that until it's too late, they'd rather not take the chance

This is what we're saying. Yes, hatred of men is a thing that exists in the world. But hatred of all men being widespread and acceptable online is not a thing that exists.

Whenever people complain about seeing it, what they're actually seeing is:

-Random lunatics on Twitter with single digit followers that nobody is listening to,

-People who are obviously joking or being facetious, or

-People who are talking about something bad that is prevalent among men and needs to stop.

The third one is the most common. And if you're not doing that shit, it should be obvious that they're not talking about you, and you should agree that it's not okay that other men are doing it.

Where did TC make a commentary on women as a whole? He explicitly clarified he's not doing that. He's referring to people who spread "men are trash" rhetoric and/or are biased in some way against men.

Oh I have actually defended men in numerous topics like that one. There was a topic about Andrew Tate where someone said "small pp energy" and I went into a whole deal about how there is plenty to criticize that filth on but body shaming shouldn't be one of them. I defended my reasoning for a good 60+ posts since dick size is not something men can help and body shaming is body shaming even if it's addressing someone who's vile.

I'm guilt free here.

It's astonishing how much bullshit you packed into two sentences.

I'm tired of the discourse as I think it's pointless reductive and doesn't do anything to actually solve society's problems; most of the time, it barely manages to identify what the issues are.

That being said, men are horribly socialized throughout patriarchal societies, and it needs to be addressed. I'm not sure if rhetoric like this helps that, but still. I guess it starts in the home with parenting and steering kids away from bad influences?

Yeah, the reason women make tweets recounting stories about how men have abused them and such -- saying they choose the bear -- is for men to read those posts and do some self-reflection so that they don't also have a bear chosen over them, and to figure out why so many women have such similar stories.

If your reaction to seeing a bunch of women tell their stories of abuse is to get defensive or go, "uhm, not all men, ackshully," then you're one of the dudes who needs some of that self-reflection.

There are so many men that think they can get away with whatever they do to women -- whether out of ignorance or not -- due to how society has groomed men, that things like this need to get brought to light.

As women have said, they "don't want the bear." So don't be such an awful man that you cause women to feel safer with one.
