Howie Hawkins was their nominee last election in 2020. He's pro-Ukraine and has advocated military aid ever since Russia annexed Crimea. He played the whole election fair, honest, and respectable.

The result? Party only got ballot access in like 33 states despite a relatively strong 2016 showing with 46 states, due in part to aggressive Democratic lawsuits to block their access this time around.

Stein would've never let that stand, she'd have been grifting millions to fight the establishment, unscrupulously pressuring for state signatures, boosting the Greens with social media propaganda and smears about the opposition, working with her foreign buddies, etc.

Since the Greens figured out playing nice when your opponents are not isn't very productive they predictably switched back to Stein for 2024.
