We're looking at stepping away from Spectrum, and Verizon just set up a tower in the neighborhood. Trying to do some research before committing.

It's very fast and consistent and I barely run into any issues with it (and if there are it usually sorts itself out quickly)

I have had Verizon at my place for around 5 years. Maybe come across issues twice per year, if that. Super speedy and reliable, my friends are always impressed by how quickly I can download heavy stuff here.

That's better than what I read on Reddit.

What sort of problems do occur and when?

I run into issues mainly around 1am, sometimes the internet can be down for like 10 minutes.

The worst issue I've run into though is the fiber optic cable had become "crinkled" and the light wasn't connected, and so I was without internet for 2 days

100% depends on where you're at
5G was a massive speed downgrade for me

Yeah, at times quite late at night I've had the Internet die. Most of the time, it comes back really quickly, but admittedly, if it's been down for a while I just go to bed, so I couldn't really tell you how long it takes to come back up in those instances. I think it happened during the day like once? But it's very rare, and it's definitely better to the other services I tried before.

I feel like no service is going to be completely perfect, so I'm very happy with my choice. They gave me a G3100 router (they actually sent me two by mistake, so I just have the other in storage) and the process to get started was rather seamless.

Yeah it's been good to me for the last 4 years. The router is fine but nothing to write home about.

Overall it's been 100x more reliable than Comcast and I've never noticed any throttling.

I have FIOS and that's been amazing.

No idea about 5G Home Internet though. Your post had me curious; I didn't realize there were no data caps with it.
