Confirm, and Im an albino that would fry like an egg in the sun at any heat. I hate having to wear sleeves, and most of the time when its not hot, its too cold to not have a jacket and too hot to have one.

During the polar vortex I shoveled the driveway with a winter coat over a sweatshirt over a T, baggy jeans over sweatpants, 2 pairs of socks, gloves, a hat and a hood over my head and it was fine. That was far below -10.

I ride my bike all year round. The warmest I've ever ridden in is 106. The coldest is -5. The -5 I was so bundled up in layers I didn't really feel the cold. The 106 there was nothing to do but grin and bear it.

People has to go out for many things such as work, buying essential from supermarket, visit friends/family, etc. There are times going outside is necessary. So AC won't help all the time, while wearing many layers of clothes helps any time. I can cuddle inside with blankets and my wife when it is really cold. Not really anything you can do when it is really hot besides overly blast the AC, but if you have to even run an errands, start sweating like crazy.
