at the very least trump doesn't look like he's gonna keel over and die and he hasn't at any point in the past 8 years now except for the time he literally had covid. of which, he still went to the debate and still looked better than biden did tonight.

if this is the best they can make biden look then there really is no point pretending anymore. he already has "Old" being the #1 thing people think about, we're probably gonna get more people on the path saying this is elder abuse if he keeps this up.

Trump lies out both sides of his face constantly but like you get the feeling he knows what he's doing when he's doing that and he's not straight up mentally gone. Biden just doesn't speak well in the past year or two and it feels like an age thing to me-- wasn't a thing when he first got into office.

i'm not from Cali but Gavin is essentially Biden+ and i don't think there's a lot of argument to oppose that statement.
he's more of a moderate/centrist rather than a progressive, think "center left" and you've got it. on top of that he's got a good look, can talk, can make jokes. and we've already seen him in a debate recently - again, we saw Gavin vs. DeSantis. will progressive democrats like him, no. will they vote for him happily over trump, absolutely. more importantly, he'll lock up the female vote pretty comfortably and should be able to grab more moderate independents than Biden which is all you need. if you want that whole "big tent" candidate, he's the best the Dems got.

the ones actively in politics right now, anyway.

Personal experience here:

Walking a 9 hole course(which has some big elevation) is tiring.

Golf carting through an 18 hole course I probably develop a blister but feel like I've done basically nothing.

Also Ive tried 3 different images of different sizes and GameFAQs freezes every time Ive tried to post a picture of Gretchen Whitmer, so imagine this is a picture of her:

I mean

Golf isn't great exercise but it's enough that he's probably fine to not die of a heart attack at his BMI

tbh Newsom has been just fine and/or good. But the propaganda/misinformation machine has already run rampant with his image, even in California. Sure he won re-election in 2022 with 60% of the vote, but the 40% who voted against him are staunchly opposed to him.

By all metrics he has delivered or is in the process of delivering on many of his campaign promises and he's very well spoken on camera, but I think there is already enough bias against him that it would be a net negative.

Then again he would have put Trump in the dirt tonight so :shrug:

arguing about exercise routine seems kind of silly realistically because nobody cares for that. all people care about is what they see and what they see is one orange dude who can yell, lie, but campaign like a motherfucker everywhere in the US, and one dude who looks like he barely knows his own name. who's actually healthier? who knows? doesn't matter though because we know which one acts healthier and that's 99% of the game right there. hell, bernie's older and looks and sounds better than both despite his heart issues.

Like I said, I peaced out like 10-15 minutes in for mental health reasons that this topic is continuing to validate but I did keep a tab on some reactions and apparently Biden got better as time went on and Trump got worse?

I guess they did know what they were doing by arguing golf in the debate. It's clearly a hot button issue.

Golf isn't excessive. Source: someone who golfed when they were at their least healthy in their life. The treck from the parking space to the golf cart rental was more exercise than the act of golfing.

The only reason to discuss the death pool is if you want to vote for the vice presidents. Which I mean in my case (and I feel like I can't be the only one) you'd be better suited to stan for Biden dying if you wanted me to vote him.

Yeah, Newsom is very, very much a traditional politician.

He is fairly effective at pushing policy and protecting his own image enough to not get voted out. As a governor, we could do a lot worse.

But he isn't some progressive hero and he is very much representative of "California" on a national stage. And most of the country does not like California.

Yes (though outside of a few isolated points Biden never got to good and Trump never got to his disastrously bad performance in the 2020 debate where he was constantly interrupting and telling the Proud Boys to stand back and stand by)

Yeah, because I don't use imagination, I use science, and the science doesn't match that.

Let's say you play a round of golf, par 82. Your drives are going to be the most strenuous, 100 hard swings, might be enough to get over 100, but in a round you are taking much more softer swings, and pitches, and putts.

With a walk, you are adding so many more factor's by actually moving. The thing that causes your body to burn calories. Being stationary and swinging does not require a lot of energy consumption.

Decent heart rate, lol, like that's all it takes? Oh my heart rate went from 90 to 155 for 10 seconds, just burned 5 calories.

It needs to be consistent elevated heart rate, and exertion. You aren't getting that with the type of golf Trump plays.

I don't need to pump up cycling. You are vastly overestimating the calories burned to cart golf.

You take at least one practice swing off the tee, many people take 2 or more, so add at least 18 full swings to that count, and putting definitely burns calories lol.

Also add in that Trump does this primarily in South Florida, where it is 90 degrees and humid as hell.

Were like a full page into an argument over golf, but you are straight up wrong if you think a round of golfeven with a cart you are walking more than normalisnt exercise, lol.
