When Futurama first aired, I hated it. The only explanation I have is that Simpsons was my favorite show ever, and since Futurama was by Matt Groening, I was expecting something incredibly similar to Simpsons. So I didnt give it a fair chance.

Fast forward a few years, and Im catching an episode on Comedy Central (the same episode that you posted, coincidently) and this was the first scene that really got me laughing (now I love the show):

What do you call it when a piece of media is really dependent on a plot twist, but the plot twist ends up being the most known thing about it?

The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is another one; that entire book is a mystery on the relationship between Jekyll and Hyde, but it's now absolute common knowledge that one turns into the other.

Do you guys think slurm tastes like cola, pepsi, mirinda, crush, or fanta? It's unlikely to be shani, so closest would be? Wondered this when I was a kid.

I thought it was just okay. It was kind of like Disenchantment where I admired the world they created, but hardly ever laughed. It wasn't until it was in reruns when I started finding it funny. Sometimes comedy needs repeat viewings like that.

I don't know if I'd come around to Disenchantment like I did Futurama.
