did you know? Hideki Miyamoto intentionally made Gundyr hard so that the player is incentivized to go do something else and come back stronger!

First boss of Dark Souls 3. As first Souls bosses go, he's up there, thanks to how wonky the Pus of Man attacks are.

Personally, I got walled by Blackflame Friede and drifted away from the game because my pride didn't let me skip her or leave the DLC area to get a few more levels under my belt.

Yeah, I hold myself back from using summons. I'm stubborn like that. Nothing against them as a concept, but I want to beat the boss myself.

Yeah Gundyr is kind of weird as far as first bosses go. I figured I was supposed to lose to him the first time I fought him like every other FromSoft first boss. I was very surprised when I respawned back at the first bonfire.
