I always hear vegans say silly shit like "humans are the only animal that drinks milk after they are grown, and from other animals!" Like, okay, and? Humans are also the only animal that constructs electrified structures with AC so they can live comfortably, anyone want to give that up?

I used to, but not so much anymore

Only with a warm sweet (like a chocolate chip cookie or brownie) or oatmeal. Otherwise I'd rather have something else.

Humans have evolved to tolerate milk even as adults. Some humans don't have this gene. We call those unlucky ones lactose intolerant. It's possible to train other mammals into developing this gene naturally, but the process evolution is very long. One way to shorten it is to modify the genes in labs.

As for drinking milk from other species, humans aren't the only animals who do it. Although rare, mothers instinctively breastfeed pretty much any babies looking for food. My cat tried sucking on my nipple not long after I adopted her. She realized I was dry (I'm male) and never tried it again. I've seen a cat breastfeed ducklings in a farm. You don't have to be a mammal to seek milk. Food is food. I also heard of cats and dogs raising each other, as well as non-human apes breastfeeding humans and vice versa. Animals sometimes adopt other children of other species. I wouldn't be surprised if breastfeeding is involved in some cases.

Vegans are wrong on so many things. They make a lot of things up to justify their beliefs and feel superior to others. They aren't superior, they're weak thanks to severe malnutrition. They also abuse children and other animals by forcing them to eat an unhealthy diet. Only moral vegetarians have a point, but they're approaching the problem from the wrong angle. They should be lobbying and campaigning to make lab-grown meat the norm. This would eliminate all slaughterhouses, thus ending most animal cruelty and helping the environment. Meat grown in labs is virtually indistinguishable from meat obtained from killed animals. I wonder how vegans would feel about drinking real milk that wasn't produced by mammals who recently gave birth.

Yes and no.

I will have milk in my Coffee and have it in my cereal but if you were to offer me a glass of milk I will trun it down. Reason being it lies like a lead balloon in my stomach.

I drink chocolate milk on occasion.

I drink lactose free milk nowadays but during my college years I would go through at least two gallons of whole or reduced fat milk a week

I only drink malk.

I recently found out drinking milk causes my body to break out in acne so I avoid it now, atleast that's the impression I got from some admittedly limited research.

I wouldn't say milk tastes good on its own, but I think it makes a good compliment to most dinner foods.

Calcium helps promote strong bones and teeth. I already damage my teeth enough drinking too much coffee. The milk helps reduce the acidity

Humans are also the only animal on the planet actively destroying it, and all we need to do to stop is quit using fossil fuels and get all our energy FROM THE BIG BALL OF FUSION ENERGY IN THE SKY, but we don't.

We're also the only animal to give value to pieces of paper that have numbers written on them. We're also the only animal to stress out if we don't have said pieces of paper. We're also the only animal that fucking needs said pieces of paper to LIVE.

I think that's debatable. There are other animals that will absolutely destroy an ecosystem. Beavers rip down trees and build dams, damaging waterways with no regard for the aquatic life. A swarm of locusts will destroy crops. Of course, when the beavers and locusts then move on to find other resources, any animals that can survive what they left behind will move in and start things anew. It isn't any different with humans. We ravage something, walk away from it, and something else moves in to keep the cycle going.

You make it sound easy, as if constructing the devices needed to harness solar energy don't require strip mining the hell out of resources. Photovoltaic panels don't grow on trees. And the machines that strip mine the resources have to run on some sort of fuel source as well.

Humans don't NEED those pieces of paper to live. You could just fight other humans to claim their resources. That's what other animals do, which is why they don't need the paper.

I don't see how it backfires at all, because nothing you said does anything to prove adult humans shouldn't be drinking milk.

I make fun of my best friend for needing a glass of milk with pastries. I'll sometimes mix protein powder with almond milk, but otherwise don't really drink it unless it's an ingredient in a dish.

In a way yes? I get Lattes often, and those have milk in them.

Really? Is this true?

I haven't looked into it deeply, but it makes sense. most countries don't have the space for cows, so goats are more economical. A family could take care of a goat, but not many families could as easily take care of a cow.

After Googling it, i found nothing to support the claims that goat milk is more popular worldwide.
I wonder how Meyenberg came to that conclusion to put it on their milk.
Everything I'm finding shows cow milk production at like at least 20x the amount of goat.

I hate Oreos. I do enjoy eating them although they taste like they are bad quality, but the real problem is my stomach will always hurt soon after eating them and they mess up my poop

Yes. With cereal. When I make pancakes Ill drink milk with it. And rarely Ill have a glass of chocolate milk. But overall I probably go through less than a gallon a month. Most of which is breakfast cereal.

Gallon or two a week of whole.

I used to, a lot, but now I only consume it with cereal. I stopped drinking it since the price of milk here increased by $2 and also in an effort to live with a healthier lifestyle and diet.
