She needed to start her own campaign accounts. Theres no guarantee that the Biden funds can be transferred to her.

Even though her name is on the Biden campaign paperwork, shes not officially part of the campaign until she accepts the nomination from Biden at the convention. Biden would have had to accept the nomination, nominate her for VP, and then drop out to give her his campaign donations.

Its completely untested. Theres no legal precedent and its likely to be challenged in court. The only simple way to transfer the funds would be Biden dropping out after being officially nominated.

After mega donors and rich old white people bullied Biden out of running, let the people fucking speak.

my fiance and I were talking about this earlier, and she said she will probably donate to Harris later.

Harris is getting plenty of donations and endorsements now. Voters are furious about what happened with Biden (being forced out especially by his own political party) , so well give Harris our full support.

After watching this I think I'm pretty excited for her. She so much more energetic (obviously) and she's got good charisma.

I'm sure there're things to be worried about politically with her but man... I was so ready to vote Biden outta obligation that it's nice to have someone that's not ancient.

It's anecdotal, however I listen to a progress radio channel on SiriusXM and many callers still wanted Biden and are pissed that it feels like he was muscled out by the Party & donors. It gets annoying seeing all these posts saying only CE wanted Biden to stay in when that's objectively not true and then the only thing they cite, if anything at all, is like ResetEra and Reddit, as if those are the only people politically engaged.

Especially a lot of people in their 50s-70s, from who I've heard call in, didn't want him to drop out.

Yeah, it's technically possible that someone else could get the nomination but I'd be very surprised if it ends up not being Kamala.

There were polls showing most people wanted Biden out before though (including most Dems). We posted those. The point of what I was saying was that this place was uniquely pro-Biden and you would get wild claims that the polls were fake. Whereas the other major places were also wanting Biden to leave for the most part. So I think it's interesting the site seemed to actually have a majority wanting to stay. It's a somwhat unique bubble. You also see a lot of anger here in comparison to a lot of enthusiasm elsewhere (this fundraising is an example of that). Obviously some people aren't happy, the poll shows that too. They just aren't the majority.
