One piece really deserves a amazing game by now.

I don't want a fighting game, another musou, or please lord no, no stinkin' arena fighter. World seeker is already what I exactly want in a one piece game (a island/certain locale adventure that has a self-contained story, and one where you can swap control between different straw hat pirates depending on what section your are in during the story. Think of it like one of those good older filler arcs one piece used to have. Something like the G8 filler arc). The problem with world seeker is that.....well, it had all of jack-shit for budget and no effort whatsoever was really put into anything. The gameplay, the graphics, the music, and the story itself....everything just felt "cheap".

Basically what I want is another one piece world seeker type of game, but it doesn't suck lmao. Give it that elden ring/tekken 8/dragon ball z kakarot level of budget and care. Actually make it feel awesome to play as luffy using his rubber abilities to slingshot around and fight. Make the sections where you are playing as zoro, sanji, jimbei, franky, brook, robin, nami, chopper and usopp fun.

Also please deem one piece worthy to have a dub for it's game. Dual audio of course, but a IP like one piece still being stuck with sub-only games when even a IP that hasn't had a game in a hot minute like bleach can get a dub track just absolutely stings.

Ghost in the Shell. Although I guess it would basically be Cyberpunk/Deus Ex.

Not sure what genre, but it would definitely be multiplayer. It would need customizable powers and penances. And the skybox would need a star linked to each individual player, that would accurately shine whenever any player used their powers in-game.

Full Metal Alchemist maybe? The alchemist concept seems a very easy thing to make various builds for.

Its not my favorite anime ever, but trying to picture a game version of those i rate above it seems eh.

MHA open world hero adventure. Destructible buildings (that can get repaired relatively quickly thanks to super construction quirks for some explanation) maybe it could be a create your own hero type deal, but not go too crazy with power selection, with help from characters from the show.

I feel like a well-done, high budget Cowboy Bebop game would be great.

On one hand it's a really solid game. Both exploration and gameplay feel very polished and have enough meat to them if you want a cozy RPG that is set in the One Piece verse. For something you just want to invest some time in and play along with it is a fair option.

On the other hand, while it's really solid, it is also a bit basic. Due to the way the combat mechanics specifically work, if you figure out one or two things early on you really never run into an actual threat (Which I guess is kind of accurate when it's the post-time skip crew revisiting primarily pre-time skip areas lol). There's not really a 'difficulty' setting either, so you can't adjust it at all.

Granted, playing games isn't entirely about difficulty, anyways.

As for the topic specifically -- I would choose Black Clover.

It deserved a team based RPG even more than Fairy Tail did, and Fairy Tail is getting it's second game lol.

It would take a really sick puppy to turn Hellsing into a game. It's also difficult to imagine how that could be turned into a game.

Psycho-PASS open world with third person combat and character creation. Goal is trying to undermine, disrupt, and take down the government, and expose its secrets to everyone. You can try for a heroic approach by avoiding conflict and evading their monitoring of your pass, or you can try to turn the people into a disorganized threat to distract the government from you.

Hunter x Hunter could be an amazing open world game. Unlock abilities to let you explore new areas, pass the Hunter exam and increase your rank to be allowed into newer, more dangerous areas. And the Nen system would allow you to somewhat customize your battle style.

Being able to actually visit and play Greed Island would be fucking awesome.

Overlord for sure.

I'd say Sword Art Online, but only the setting. Take Kirito, Asuna, etc out of the story. A custom character gets trapped in the SAO game and has to go join a guild and fight through the floors in order to try to escape. Explore that cool world instead of blazing through it.

You create and customize your own magical girl and explore various randomly-generated witch labyrinths with magical girls from the Madoka Magica franchise (including the spin-offs) as your partners. Your avatar magical girl can equip different types of weapons, which can be found in labyrinths or bought/crafted yourself, while the partner magical girls all have set moves with their signature weapons. Witch labyrinths are a perfect context for randomized dungeons, the darkening of your magical girls' soul gems could be the equivalent of hunger/fatigue in other mystery dungeon games, and they could incorporate doppels from Magia Record as a type of high-risk special attack that you can use once per dungeon.
