Jesus Himself warns that (belief in him) He will cause division among families. It doesn't say "Now everyone listen to the man of the house, and only him". It almost sounds like this nationalist wants families to put Jesus second to husbands/fathers/brothers.

Sometimes it's just indoctrination. A lifetime of being told you're secondary to men. Other times it's a classic case of "Not my problem". If, for example, you're an older woman whose already done having children then why should you care if reproductive rights are taken away? It was a lot easier to be sneakier back then.

To engage in the bar room, coffee house, back room, closed door, etc meetings with no recording of it ever happening and discuss how you want to grab/consolidate power. All it takes is the people you're meeting with to support you or to work in tandem with you.

Nowadays everything is tracked, everything is recorded, you have to make things digestible to (large) audiences in video or recorded format.

Things like eating shellfish, or wearing mixed fabric, or needing to leave the city if you get a papercut. Things like clean and unclean dont really mean much among todays Christians.

The left makes a lot of assumptions pertaining to gender. A common one is that it's men that are pro-life, that don't want women to have a choice between pregnancy and an abortion. They're, of course, very incorrect. A huge chunk of pro-lifers are women. Go to church and you'll find it full of women firmly opposed to abortions. I live in a heavily conservative area and almost every woman I know, probably at least 95%, are against abortions.

The most lenient interpretation you can give it is that a family (read: husband/wife or father/daughter or brother/sister) would get together and decide who is best for the family and then the 'man of the house' would go cast the agreed upon vote.

If you're naive as fuck, you might actually believe that such a system would work or even be preferable.

However, people like this mother fucker aren't that naive. They think everybody is naive enough to buy their bullshit. It may work on the vulnerable and the gullible or those desperate and seeking acceptance in a church community, and as such they receive confirmation bias that "oh my ideas are accepted/popular".

These people exist solely to exploit everyone who will let themselves be exploited.
