It kind of feels like a really weird dream that Ive been having that Im going to wake up from at any moment, she added.
Gunn said she qualified for the Paris Olympics by winning the Oceania championships, but added that she was super nervous to compete in the 2024 Games.
I knew that I was going to get beaten, and I knew that people were not going to understand my style and what I was going to do, she said. The odds were against me, thats for sure.
Gunn told The Project that she wont be participating in any breaking competitions for a while, as she wants to avoid the spotlight.
I would much rather focus on the positives out of this, and the positive responses and the joy that I brought people, she said. Its going out there and just having fun and going as hard as you can in the face of, you know, losing.
Breakdancing made its Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Games but will not feature in Los Angeles in 2028.

I wish this whole shebang had prompted like, engaged discussion about what constitutes breakdancing and how it's judged. All I know about breakdancing is When Guy Spins on Head and the little footage I saw of the event outside of Raygun did not disabuse me of that notion.

Did Raygun get 0 points because she did not Spin on Head?

On one hand, it was definitely way overblown. On the other hand, she definitely did not belong there at all and at least should apologize to the serious athletes for making a mockery of their efforts. Though whether her sport is even a serious one in the first place is debatable.

objectively she look liked she had practiced break dancing for 10 hours max. imagine you watched 1 yt vid on how to break and then went to the olympics. it was like that.

Breakdancing was only to be included in the 2024 Olympics from the beginning, even before the actual events were held. It was one of the five events France was allowed to.include as they were the host nation. In much the same way that "Flag Football" will be included in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, and undoubtedly will not be included in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
