I'm not. I didn't buy PS5. I didn't buy PS4. The last expensive paperweight I bought was a PS3, and after playing three games on it I stopped buying PlayStations.

I wont complain at all. Gaming is a dirt cheap hobby to me and itll still be the cheapest item compared to my display, speakers, subwoofer, AVR, hell even my surge suppressor/voltage regulator cost more. That being said I see no real reason to get it over my base ps5 disc drive system. I go with performance mode and prioritize frame rate over the minor fidelity difference I often never see the difference during action.

I HAD to get a PS3 Slim cause my OG Phatty bit the dust. Otherwise I've always kinda been a base model guy.

Not me. I have the base model PS5 and that's enough for me. I get the first party games at launch on the PS5 and everything else I get on PC. I don't have a need for a stronger PS5, because it's just my exclusive box.

I didn't even buy the PS4 Pro. Why would I do that for the PS5 version?

Why would I pay $700 for a console with exactly one exclusive, especially when the next generation version is probably less then two years away?

Nope. I game mainly on PC these days, so no need for a PS5/PS5 Pro when most games (read, exclusives, of which there are few) on it eventually come to PC anyway.

Jumped outta the PS ecosystem after the 3 Slim. I'll be waiting for the Switch 2 announcement though.

One of the best things about those platforms was that an PS2 would play any PS2 game. Then Xenoblade happened and now that's not true anymore.

The New 3DS was specifically marketed as being a hardware upgrade over the original lol. Yes, the fact that it had nominally more RAM was overstated by Gamestop employees to sell more systems but we knew from the beginning it had the potential for exclusives. >_>

I would only consider it if there was some kind of upgrade program where you could trade in a regular ps5 and have it cover 2/3 of the cost. Then maybe I'd think about it.

Whether it was Nintendo's fault or Monolith's makes no difference to me.

I always thought GBC games did work with GB, just without the color. I've never actually owned either. In any case, that was before I got into handheld gaming. Which is kind of a funny story but perhaps one for another time.
