It is a stretch to say they don't like each other. They just always said it was true they aren't friends and never hang out outside the show. They always respected each others work and they worked well together for many years. Jamie specifically hired Adam to bring in a different viewpoint work wise and they always had the same moral compass and were on the same page for what they wanted with the show.
